slim series vs. slim in 6

Hey anyone/everyone,

I've seen several people post about the Slim Series, and I recently saw the infommercial for Slim in 6. Cathe has gotten me in pretty decent shape, but I'm considering getting something else for variety. Are either of these series useful if you're already in decent shape? Is one better than the other? By the way, I'm certainly not saying that I couldn't be in better shape. I'd like my abs to be flatter, and my rear to be a little higher, but I know that the better shape you're in, the harder it is to make improvements. I'm just trying to figure out if these workouts are more useful to someone who is not really in shape at all.

I really appreciate any and all input! Thanks! :D

Hi Lisa, If you're thinking about these, I would definitely go with Slim Series. The first 2 workouts in the Slim in 6 series are fairly easy. The Slim Series are all high rep/low weight workouts. I think Firm It Up uses no weight at all and is a lower body workout. I have these, but have not done Firm It Up or Tear It Up. I can only do these for 2-3 days and then I get bored. The warmup is basically the same in every workout and the moves do not go to the music which is a big deal for me. I like Debbie, but I don't like her cueing. When she says right, she means her right. Therefore, if you want to mirror image her moves, you have to do the opposite of what she says. All of these are weight training with very little cardio bursts. A lot of people find these to be enough cardio, but I did not. I never did Tear It Up which is supposed to be the hardest and does look to be pretty good for cardio. I have done Mix It Up, Tone It Up, and Shape It Up and I didn't even need a shower afterwards.
