Sedona, AZ hotel and hiking recommendations

My husband and I will be traveling to Sedona in mid-July. I know, I know it is going to be hot....certainly can't be much hotter than Atlanta....

I would love some recommendations as far as hotel recommendations and moderate hiking trails in and around Sedona. We'll be flying into Phoenix and renting a car. Couple of places we are checking out are the Kokopelli Suites and the Wildflower Inn in Sedona.

I was in Sedona in August about 11 years ago. It's beautiful there! You'll love it. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon and stayed the night in Sedona. It's very "new age", or at least it was when I was there. If I'm not mistaken, and I may very well be, I believe that's where Butch Cassidy and the Whole in the Wall Gang used to hang out. Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid is one of my favorite movies.

Can't give you any advice on the hotel. We stayed in one, but I haven't got a clue what it was called.
