Rotation w/ Ankle Sprain?

Hi everyone,

I am dealing with an ankle sprain and am struggling with getting workouts in. Is it ok to do weights for legs with this injury, if it isn't painful while doing the exercise? I have an ankle brace I can wear that keeps it stable. How about light cardio like walking (if it does not hurt to do so)? Obviously, I know I can do upper body and abs ok, but I'd really like to add in legs--take advantage of this time to do more of a strength rotation since cardio is less of a focus. My ankle is a tad swollen but greatly improved, bruising is fading. Any input would be appreciated! TIA!
