Retaining Water

I am retaining so much water lately....does anyone know how to get rid of this. I feel so fat and it is really upsetting....clothes are all tight....yuck!

Please HELP!!! Thanks a bunch!!
 
Yep! Drink more water! Sounds funny I know, but unless it's TTOM, your body retains water when your sodium intake it too high, or you're not drinking enough of it.

Drink a few extra glasses today, and it will flush out your system and get you back to normal.
 
How much water are you drinking? Usually when the body is not getting enough water it holds onto what it has, making you retain and swell. So monitor both your water and your sodium intake. Are you eating differently, and if so, what kinds of foods? Some more information may help you get other thoughts. Water bloat is hard to put up with !

Try upping your water intake and add 300 to 600 mg of magnesium (magnesium citrate) daily. It has helped me!

Yep, drink lots of water. I also take Uva Ursi or dandelion root (gentle herbs)extracts which help with excess water. You can find these at your local health food store. I take them during my lovely PMS week and they seem to help. I gain water weight in my tummy, upper arms and thighs, icky, your jeans do not fit right, I totally understand. I went through that yesterday with my favorite pair of pants, tighter than usual! Just remember, this too shall pass.

Thanks to all for the great suggestions! I hate water, but I will be drinking a ton today. It is so fun to be a woman sometimes!!!
