hai, i`m from the netherlands, i would like to know what pyramide training exactly does for the body and the workout, why 12,10, 8, 10, 12? :) :+ :9
 
I think pyramids are just a strategy to cope with the weight while exhausting the muscle. The first 12 is sort of a warm up with your lighest weight of the 3 you choose. The 8 rep segment is your max weight and getting 8 reps should be difficult. Then by the time you get to the 12 rep segment again that muscle (group) should be completely exhausted. Make any sense?
