Pyramid Lower Body w Weighted Vest and Dumb Bells

I tried Pyramid Lower Body w/ a weighted vest and absolutely love it! I always avoided the lower body workout because the barbell put stress on my lower back but using the vest and dumb bells reduces the stress on my back. This workout rocks!

Also, one of my favorites premixes is the bonus combo of upper and lower body.

I've been using the weighted vest for all my lower body work and just 10lb. Weights. I don't use it for dead lifts though bc the weight is too far from the legs. I love this vest!
 
I love my vest, too! I use it for squats and lunges along with lighter weight dumbbells for heavy lower body workouts. My lower body workouts are much more comfortable now. I think I only use weights alone for dead lifts. My forearms are happy and I don't have to worry about lifting a heavy barbell over my head. So, I'm stronger and safer ... :eek:
 
I bought Cathe's weighted vest last summer to use while I walk. Haven't used it for Cathe's lower body workouts yet. After reading these posts I am going to try it out with my next workout to make it a little easier with the barbell.
 
What vests are you all using? I thought about getting one. My right shoulder has major issues and I can't hold barbell. Foes the vest hurt your shoulders? Thanks.
