PUSH OR PRESS:
- Chest
- Shoulders/Deltoids (when doing overhead presses)
- Triceps
- Legs and Glutes (when doing squats or lunges and you "press" up through the heels)
- Abs (?)
PULL:
- Back
- Biceps
- Rear Shoulders (when you "pull" back as in a rear delt fly)
- Side Shoulders (when doing a wide grip upright row--you "pull" the weight up)
- Legs and Glutes (when doing quarter deadlifts and you "pull" up through the hamstrings and glutes)
PS works all presses together, while S&H works Pulls together. Count on Cathe to work from all angles!
