Hi all,
I haven't been around much due to filters at work, but I got a computer for Christmas, so I'm BAAACK!
Anyway, I was sitting here at my computer when my golden retriever asked to be let out. I let him out and he started after "something." I yelled at him and heard something in the tree and he was standing under it, so I thought he treed a cat. I yelled to the kitty that it was ok and I got him back inside. In the meantime, a car passed by and I heard what sounded like a flat tire, but the car kept going. Then another car came up and stopped. In the headlights, I could see something laying on the road. These two women got out and asked if this was my cat. I ran out, saw a gray striped cat just like my own, and began crying. I ran in to get my SO and my cat hopped up next to me on the bed. Short story long, these two wonderful kitty angels took the kitty, who was still breathing and hanging in there, to the only emergency vet, which was about 30 minutes away. I asked them to promise to let me know how the kitty did, because she was fighting to live. It's midnight here, and I couldn't sleep, and they just knocked on my door to tell me she didn't make it. I realize that my sweet, lovable dog tried to play with the scared little kitty, and that kitty didn't make it up the tree, but instead ran out and died. Poor kitty. I just feel awful. *Kitty heaven exists* *Kitty heaven exists*
Thanks for reading.
