Pilates & Weight Lifting ?

I would like to add pilates to my Cathe workouts, I follow her monthly rotations, but I don't know for sure when to add them in. Can it be done on the same days as weight lifting? Kathy
 
I usually do pilates on a light core day after cardio (I have 2-3 core days a week, 2 of them are pretty intense & weighted, the 3rd, when I have time, is pilates).

I guess you could use it as an intense kind of stretching after weight training, but I wouldn't recommend it.
 
What Pilates workouts do you like? I have the original Mari Winsor series, which I use off & on, but I really like her style.
Am considering getting the ones that use the sculpting circle or the band...any opinions?

I love MTV Mix, also Ana Caban's Pilates for Abs. MTV Pilates is decent.

Other than that they're all pretty much the same workout, maybe with the exercises in a different sequence.

I've never used one with a circle or band. If you try it out please let us know what you think.
 
Pilates is a wonderful compliment to Cathe. I enjoy Ellen Barrett's by far, I usually add on to Cathe's workouts. Or sometimes I schedule light workouts and then pilates. I also have tried Minna's Strength/Grace which is not bad either. Tracey/Michelle combo, Breakthru pilates is a little long if you have time. Hope this helps, Annette
