Pikes on the stability ball and pushups with wrist problems

I don't know if this question was ever posed, but here goes. How does one do pikes on the stability ball, or even pushups on the floor, if they have wrist issues? I used to be able to do pikes without any problems, and pushups weren't a problem either (yes, I cheat and do them on my knees), but now my left wrist can't take a lot of pressure, and I'm trying to compensate by leaning more towards the right side, which I know isn't doing me any good either. Help.

I have similar issues. I've found that 15# wts under my hands and proper alignment helped me for pushups. For pikes, I make sure my wrist is right under my shoulder.

Wrist under shoulder

Or... use your fists.

Hi san4850....As has been noted, push up handles work well to alleviate stress to the wrist. It keeps your hand in a vertical position which helps takes some stress off the wrist.
