P90X Diet - Doable??

Sorry to post yet another P90X question...
I haven't started the P90X rotation yet (I did the legs portion on Monday and my legs are still sore!) but am planning to once I get some bands.

Have any of you started the diet? Is it really tough to do? It looked like you can only have 1 carb and tons of protein (plus, the other foods listed) in the beginning. I eat out a lot because of my schedule/time constraints so I don't want to set myself up for disaster. Could I still eat out?

I don't follow the plan but what I do is that I took the calorie allowance it gave me and eat in that allowance. For me it means 2300 kcal/day which is only 200 kcal less than what I usually eat. So for me it's a very doable plan.
 
I think the portion plan is very doable. There's a lot to choose from on the list and even fast food options.
