"New Mult-vitamin" crew - watch out!

Hey all, I just HAD to send this e-mail because it seems "suspect" that this company puts all that they do into their products. The best advice I was ever given about supplements is KNOW YOUR COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! Are the vitamins bioavailable? Put it in water and make sure it breaks down in LESS than 30 minutes. Otherwise most of it will wind up getting "flushed". Are there artificial colors, flavors, preservatives? Is it free of pesticides? Herbicides? Fungicides? Is the company a science/research company? What is the percentage of required nutrients? less or more than dv's needed?

Sorry to be a downer but it's just so important to know this stuff. If there is additional "stuff" in your vitamin that your body doesn't need or know what to do with, it will require even more nutrients to get RID of the extra muck! I'm not a total downer though, I use and recommend Shaklee (yes - you do have to be a member but it' just so inexpensive). I figured (after researching companies) that I would use the brand that NASA uses! Also found out that last year TimeLife books put out a book called "The 25 greatest adventures of all time" - Shaklee was involved in SEVEN of them.

I'm not sure that herbs should also be in a vitamin. Mixing herbs with vitamins and minerals can be tricky so just make sure this company knows what they're doing. I took Shaklee's 30 day challenge from my friend who introduced me. I took their "Basics" and was told if I didn't feel a difference in 30 days I could get a FULL refund. Haven't had to return a thing...

If you all have any questions, I'd be happy to get more information for you!!! jeni
