Hi - This is complicated, but for the road trip I will only be able to attend one event - I am going to CA during that time, but am going to work it out so that I fly back thru Philly. A friend of mine told me that going from Philly to NJ and back during the summer can be very crowded with traffic cause of NJ shore. Is this true? I will have to make it to the airport to get home and now I'm worried.

Thanks for your help.

It depends on the time of day your will be traveling. Friday nights and Saturday mornings are the heaviest traffic times. Saturday midday it lightens up.

P.S. If the forecast calls for bad weather it lightens up alittle.

True (& Sunday nights are pretty bad too but you shouldn't have to worry about that). Also the roads in that area were built for farmland & the population has increased exponentially over the last 20 years, so during rush hour it's pretty much impossible to get anywhere w/o sitting in traffic.

I live in north Jersey now & I thought the traffic would be worse b/c the population is much denser & I'm right outside NYC, but I couldn't have been more wrong.
