Male Chicken

I don't have a question, but a brief story. I loaned my pyramid upper/lower body to my male co-worker for a limited time. I told him to view it before he does it so he can get a feel for the weight he wants to use and preview the moves. Well he finally watched it and said "I'm not doing that, I'd be sore for about 5 days". His comment on you was that you and the team looked very toned, but you still look feminine. He was amazed at the lifting of the 40 pound barbell. He was equally amazed that you were lifting the dumbbells like they were nothing. It's been about three days since he gave the dvd back to me and I still try not to laugh at him everytime I see him. :D :7

my DBF is a "male chicken" too

he "works out" by throwing weights around with really bad form, of course hes 28 so he builds big giant muscles in minutes this way while eating nothing but mcdonalds, which is really annoying,

anyway--when he was BROKE and unemployed i offered him $20 to do just the cardio section of boot camp and he wouldn't "im not doing that girlie s--t"

bawk bawk bawk is all i had to say

lol

I actually got my husband to do PUB a few times back in the spring. After I got done laughing at his attempt at the warm up, I helped him decide what weights to start with (based on what weights I can handle).

It was so hard not to gloat when I realized that I could lift heavier than him, especially on biceps. He is a big guy who used to lift really heavy while playing football! He wouldn't even watch the ab section, let alone try it. I would still be laughing today if he were to try pikes on the ball

Then I had to listen to him whine for the next 4 days, saying how bad he hurt and that he couldn't do the workout again. He would cry every time our 3 yr old wanted to play or wrestle or be picked up! I tried to get him to preview ME and Bootcamp, but he stopped working out after about 2 weeks.

It did give him a little better appreciation for how hard I actually work out.

OMG, I almost fell off my chair at work reading this LMAO!! My DH said something along those lines and it really hit home. He apparently was talking with other guys at his office and they were heckling the girlie workouts. Since then, DH has seen me working out from time to time. He knows how hard I work but still won't do it. I think he's afraid I'll be able to do it better. He's so darned competitive.

I'm cracking up at these stories. I told my friend that I posted on the boards about him and what I titled it. He's like "oh no"! I'm new to cathe and it feels good that I did not and continue not to feel like I've wasted money on dvd's. I'm not advanced, but I do what I can and it gives me something to shoot for.
