Yay! A thread with my name on it, LOL! Have fun!!! We had a great time. We were the oldest people in the class, but none of the "youngsters" believed us when we told them how old we were, which was 39 at the time.
And my DH also couldn't figure out where we were going either. It was fun to give him just enough hints to drive him nuts! We both keep saying we need to go back and do it again. By now it's been a while, so we'll probably need to take the refresher class.
I can't remember if I mentioned this before, but make sure your nails are short when you go...I broke a few while we were climbing, and scraping my nails against the rock wall made me shudder.

We went Saturday and it was sooo fun!
My DH was very surprised and even asked if I was going to do it too (I'm not crazy about heights)!! We were the only ones in the class and the instructor was pretty young (early 20's?) and were kinda getting older (I'm 37)
But he was really patient and you could tell he LOVES climbing!
We had a blast But you didn't tell me it was tough! My upper body and especially my fore-arms got quite a workout and pooped out faster than my heart of lower body He had us do some belay climbing too, and my DH was in charge of keeping me from falling to my death - I suppose after 13 years of marriage this was the moment to find out if I really trusted him He did great and I lived!!

Glad you had fun! It is tough...sorry I didn't warn you! I also am not happy with heights, but I did okay as long as I didn't look down. We also learned to belay. I wasn't too worried about my DH holding me up, but I think we were both a little nervous when I had to do it!
