Sorry I wasn't around yesterday but I spent the ENTIRE day out in the garden. We were out there from about noon (after we got back from the garden centre!) until about 7:30.

Well, I am operating on little sleep as well...ugh. Not a good thing for me, I get a very spoiled 8 hours a night, but last night went to bed really late and had to wake up really early, maybe I can catch a few Zzzzz's in the car.
Off to San Diego until September! Hope I can adjust right away, it'll be strange spending that much time on the boat...

I'm off the next two days, but don't have any big plans. Jay's grandmother died Tuesday morning, so I expect we'll be going to the viewing tomorrow. I'm supposed to meet a friend for bagels, so I'm not sure how the timing will all work out. Tris will be home tomorrow afternoon. We will watch fireworks from Jay's house Friday. Then back to work for me. I'm looking forward to the next three weekends though. Next weekend I took Fri and Mon off and I think we'll go camping. The following weekend DH and I are headed to the Finger Lake wineries in one of his sports cars. Then comes the pre-RT. Yahoo! Now, somewhere in all that, I have to try to melt another 5 pounds.

Today is a rest day... if you can call it that. I have to go grocery shopping after work, which doesn't sound like much of a rest to me! But it will make me happy to see a full refrigerator again. The poor thing is so empty and desolate right now.

I'm listening to all the racket as the paving guys continue the job. So far it looks great. Here's the pavers we're using: http://www.techo-bloc.com/homeowners/index.php?p=Products&e=view&productId=92 in the Sandlewood color. The pattern comes out at a 45 degree angle from the house, alternating the rectangular with the square blocks. Well, maybe I won't describe more but will wait for some pics when they're done. I like it so far. The only thing we're less than happy with (other than the heinie-wipe neighbor) is that the path leading to our cars is a little wider than expected--but it's no biggie.
I'm really tired again today. Ugh. I already want a nap http://planetsmilies.net/tired-sleeping-smiley-4635.gif but I can't. For one thing, I've got the two noisy little boys; for another the noisy paving dudes. Oh, and lots of cleaning and preparation still to do for Friday's party. I've got a to-do list as long as my arm which I'm dreading looking at again. Hence the lengthy procrastinatory typing here. (Yeah, i don't think that was a real word but it was fun to make up.)

OMG dinner went so well last night! I had so much fun. We both did. }( hehe We just talked and hung out and cooked. That's it, I swear. No really I do. Kind of. }( http://www.pic4ever.com/images/238.gif[/img]It was really, really fun. I made the most delicious dinner from my beloved "Express 30 Minute Meals" cookbook. Gotta love Rachael Ray. I made the "Warm, Chopped Chicken Piccata Salad". Dee'lish, let me tell you. Except I put too much lemon in. Oh well. It was still awesome.
Anyhoo, I way overslept this morning. But it worked out since I was going in to work a little late anyway. I had to drop my fancy new car off to be simonized or whatever it's called and they're detailing it. The detailing dudes had already left for the day when I bought the car on Monday night so they're doing it today. I can't wait! They gave me a loaner to drive today and it's actually the 2006 version of the car I bought. It's so weird how different they are. Mine's so much sexier.

I'm having a major meltdown and am in tears right now. I was going to use my credit card miles to buy my RT plane ticket (which I still haven't done since I needed to build up more points), and now I can't use it on the RT dates -- even though those aren't their blackout dates! I'm on hold with a manager right now who is a total witch. UGGGG! I should have known that they wouldn't have seats available. Tickets to Phil. are so expensive. I don't know what to do. UG! Sorry!:-(

Leanne - OH NO! I know you are completely frustrated and panicked. Fear not. Where there's a will, there's a way. If we all have to get together and drive sections of the US for you (I'll pick you up and drive you all by myself if I have to) to get you there, we can rally together and do it! Ah, thanks so much, BreckGirl and Allie! {{{HUGS}}} to you both! It turns out that they only have a certain number of seats for each flight, and they're totally booked for the entire summer. She said that you have to book 2-3 months ahead of time, but NOWHERE in their materials does it say that. I asked her to find the statement where it says so, and there's one really vague phrase about "certain restrictions." I guess it's my fault for being stupid about the whole thing; I've never used one of these dumb credit cards before. I knew it was too good to be true. The only good thing is that the witchy manager said she would refund the miles/points I bought over the weekend so I could buy my dang ticket. So now I'm really bummed since it looks like I'll have to pay mucho dinero for a ticket! UG!! x(

When is your new ortho appt? I go for a cleaning next Tuesday. I’m getting my teeth cleaned every 2-3 months to keep things ahead of schedule. My ortho told me the cleaner my teeth and gums are, the faster my treatment will be. I already have really clean teeth, but I don’t feel as clean as I used to… just can’t floss and brush the way I feel I should.

PS – called about 15 places this morning and found a spot tomorrow at 330. I’m having a nephew at the same hospital at 3 that day (obviously via C-section) but I went ahead and scheduled the repeat mammo. Funny thing is, that as soon as I hung up, my Dr office called. She told me I couldn’t come pick up my films at the office because she had already sent them to the hospital. (I was going to have one of our radiologists check them out) I told her I needed to pick them up at the hospital and to please tell me how I could do that. She asked why – and I told her I had an appt at another hospital tomorrow at 330. She said, “well, if I can get you in sooner, will you come here?” I told her I would, and it’s closer to my house. She called me right back and said they would see me at 730 am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I’m so happy I can get it over with and then go enjoy my new nephew and his brand-new-baby smell. You all have been a wonderful support – I really appreciate it. Will be sure to check in and let you know what they say. She said they’d tell me right away at the hospital.
