I'm sure I'm going to be alone in this, but...

I must be the odd one out. I got LMR2 and find that I MUCH prefer the first edition.

LMR2 has too many HIIT/Cardio segments. Maybe that's why I don't like it, since my chosen mode for cardio is strictly step and whatever compound moves are in the workouts to raise the heart rate. Plus I am 70, perhaps that's got something to do with it.

Don't misunderstand, I've been with Cathe several decades and love her work, just not this series.

I doubt you are alone. But I'll be 70 this year and I enjoy LMRE2 much much more than the original - I very seldom used it. So I don't think it's age, it may just be preference, and that's okay. We're not all going to enjoy every workout Cathe produces. Thankfully she has given us many options over the years. At least there's something for most everyone from the 2 series.

I didn’t buy the first one because I didn’t think I would use it, but having the cardio workouts in LMR 2 prompted me to buy it. I did the low impact one this morning, and never got out of warm up mode, until I got to the ponies and hip twists, and then it was a light-moderate for a short time. I ended up doing the HIIT workout too, and that got my heart rate up more, but still much easier than other HIITs, which is to be expected because it’s for the aging population, and I am 71, but I think they will be good for days when I’m sleep deprived, or coming back from an illness or injury. I will try a weight workout tomorrow, and see how that feels. I’m a stepper too, and would love some more steady state step workouts like Step Moves, Party Rockin’ Step 1&2 etc.

Hmmm. Maybe I was too hasty. Ponies and hip twists sound rather fun!

If left to my own devices, I would do nothing except lift heavy weights (with long rests between sets) and ride my spin bike

What I’m really enjoying about this series is that it’s making the things that I don’t always reach for a lot more fun. I finally got around to doing HIIT Fusion today. I replaced the jacks with skips across the floor (hated jacks since P.E. In elementary school) and time just flew by. I like to mix things up, and with a large workout collection, I can always talk myself into something that day
