I love my new Ryka shoes!!

I just want to thank the person for putting out that message for the deals on Ryka shoes on overstock.com.
I had previously bought a pair of the high top Ryka workout shoes that initially worked for me, but in the end I had to wear my running shoes to the Cathe trip.
I took a chance on the pair of Ryka's that looks more like a running shoe--it's grey and silver--LOVE THEM!! Much more breathability and for someone that needs a bigger toebox, they are GREAT!!
Just my 2 cents!!

Oooh I'm so glad I posted that! You're more than welcome! I'm so glad you found some you like!!!

Okay, so I'll admit I just bought a 2nd pair(hubby agreed that I should get another pair at that price)--who knows how long they'll be around. You know if you find a pair you like(and at great price too!)--GET ANOTHER PAIR!!!!
Thanks again!!:)

Spinnergirl-
Your post is making me question if I shouldn't try them out, too! I've tried on a bunch of the cross trainer ones and they felt really narrow in the toes. You said the pair you bought was wider? What's the name of the shoe?
Thanks, and I'm glad you got another pair! I was wondering... I'm a big fan of stocking up!! You can never have too many workout shoes, either. ;)

Amy--
When you go to the site look for the Ryka Gym Trainer Elite Women's Grey shoe. You can't miss them, they don't look like any of the others. The material is more of a mesh vs. a leather type of upper and has more give. I don't lace the midfoot tight of my other shoes anyway but tighten it at the top of the lace so that it "hugs" my ankle(with all of our jumping around doing step). I thought when I saw them that they were worth spending the $44.99 for them, it was worth it to gamble and the gamble paid off for me. I already knew my size from the other pair of Rykas that I had purchased, so if you haven't tried them on before DEFINITELY go to a sports store just to get a size. Let me know if you like them!!

Just make sure you REALLY want them if you buy from overstock. Otherwise, to return them, they charge you a $4.99 per item restocking fee (as well as having you pay postage). I've had good luck with Overstock....UNTIL I had to return something. Then it was a nightmare. I bought 3 pairs of shoes (Rykas, since I had previously bought some other Ryka's through them and liked them). They ended up being walking shoes rather than cross trainers (something which was NOT stated on the web site...in fact, it made them sound like crosstrainers), but I was going to keep them anyway, until I opened the first box and found two left shoes! (Were they trying to tell me something?).

To make a long story short: I got a return mailiing label from them for the defective pair, and sent the other 2 pair back separately (as they requested). I got the refund on the 1st pair very quickly, but what a run-around trying to get the refund on the other two (which I knew they had received because I sent them back via trackable mail). Whoever I emailed always sent back what sounded like a stock reply, and obviously didn't read my message (or couldn't understand it? I had the impression it was someone not to good with English, just cutting and pasting some stock phrases) because they kept saying that I had gotten the refund (which was for the first pair).

Finally, I sent them a "final notice" email, restating my situation, and stating that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau if the situation were not resolved by Friday of that week (I wrote on a Tuesday). Shazaam! Must have been the magic words, because I FINALLY (almost 2 months later) got my refund on the other two pairs of shoes.

Kathryn-

Sorry to hear about that!!! Love the BBB threat. I had a terrible time with overstock the one time I bought something from them. It was a watch for DH for Christmas, I paid extra to have it here, yadda yah, it didn't get here, they couldn't tell me anything, then one day I got 2 identical boxes with 2 identical watches. Since it was January by then, I haven't said anything. I feel badly, but it was entirely their mistake and it seemed (and your story solidifies) that returning the extra would cause more trouble than it was worth.

It's so tempting with their prices, though!! I have put a ban on online shoes for myself, so I shouldn't even be LOOKING. ;)
