I have been a Phlebotomist for 10 years,with the same lab. They were just bought out by Lab Corp, so I have the opportunity to go back to where I used to work.I have worked only part time for the last 4 years so I could stay home with my boys. Now, my youngest is 2 and my middle son is starting kindergarten this fall, and my oldest is 7. I thought it was a good time to return. I do feel a little guilty though.
Our house needs a lot more work, and we have run out of money to do anything else(it was a repo we bought last year). I dont even have carpet in my bedroom....just a bare concrete slab. Do you think I am being selfish for wanting to go back to work so we can finish this house? My DH makes me feel bad for returning, but we really need the money. We have not been able to afford a vacation in 5 years.......my van has 225,000 miles on it...my DH car is new though, so we have 1 car payment...and we live paycheck to paycheck, and I am getting tired of it.
I am happy about going back, but still feeling a little guilty, but I dont really think we have much choice, unless we want to keep living like this.
