How to sell my videos ??

I'd like to sell some of my videos, but I'm not sure how to go about ensuring payment (for me) and delivery (for them). I've never used ebay and I'm not interested in using it or the ya-ya forum either. I remember there was a discussion about this a while back, and I tried to use the search engine to find it, but I wasn't successful. Can anyone out there help??

Ruling out Ya Yas and Ebay definitely limits your choices. Why don't you want to do yayas? Listing is free there, and you can ask for payment by money order, so won't have to worry about a bounced check.

Neither this forum nor videofitness.com allows offering videos for sale, so I'm not sure where you could go. Perhaps half.com? I've never tried it, and it is associated with Ebay. Amazon.com also has used items for sale, but I think that's only if you originally bought them through amazon.com.

I didn't phrase my original post well. I already have a possible buyer and wanted to know the best way to handle it since I wasn't sure how to go about the whole thing. That's why I didn't want any ebay or yaya info. Not that I don't have a whole shelf-full and then some of nearly-new videos that I bought and don't like. Thanks for your help.

As for assuring delivery: I always use priority mail, which goes through the system faster and thus has less of a chance of being lost or damaged. If you're worried about the buyer saying the tape didn't arrive when it actually did, you can add delivery confirmation. If you want to make extra sure the package gets there, you can ensure it. Both of these options add to mailing costs, but I think delivery confirm is more useful.

You could also use UPS, which has automatic tracking and insurance included in the prices. I haven't checked to see how much that would cost.

Kathryn has great suggestions. I sell on ebay and half dot com and deal with this all the time. Make sure you pack the item well and I highly recommend tracking. The thing about ebay and half dot com is shipping costs will nickel and dime you to death if you aren't careful. I wouldn't bother insuring a video unless you are sending a ton of them or unless the buyer wants it insured. That's usually done on higher priced stuff.
