I can't believe I'm starting this. Where's everyone?????? Ran 10 mile trail yesterday and am off from working out today. Worked out for 7 days straight. I forgot when I took off last so am taking today off.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Lora, still thinking about you. Hope to see you back on here again soon.

Have a great day, hotties!

Morning Manics,

This morning I did premix from Amy's new ASC III. It was 47 minutes (not including the 12 min preview section I did) and included combos 1,3,4, & 5. I got up a little late and didn't have time to do as much as I wanted, so I thought that premix would be a good jumping off place to start learning the moves.

Lisa - Nice run! I couldn't imagine running 10 miles  5 is more than enough for me!!!

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

This rotation I am on with Debbie is really making me sore. I had to rest yesterday so I will work my shoulders today and go on elliptical for 30 mins plus work abs. Been really sore around traps so gotta watch that area especially. Going to chiropractor this morning and pole dancing tonight! lol.

Lisa,

Great job on that 10 miles. Damn! You forgot when you last rested??? LMAO!

Linda,

Sounds like a nice workout! Hope you had fun.

Today was steady state boring ass cardio. I watched a little bit of "The Notebook" so that made the time go by faster.

Cardio stats:
60 minutes
51 minutes in zone
302 calories burned
3.1 miles travelled

I'm heading to the BMV shortly to take my test to get licensed to ride my bike. I'm scared as hell. I have no clue what the course entails, only what my dh told me. I hope I do ok. I'm going to Kennedy's where I got my bike and I'm going to use a scooter for the test. Hopefully I'll pass.

Meals for today:

Medium calorie day

M1: ON whey protein shake w/4 strawberries & 2 oz. banana (post workout); Chocolate Fudge BSN w/ 1 tbsp. Naturally More PB & 1 tbps. flaxseed (post workout)
M2: 4 oz. turkey on 1 slice Ezekiel bread; 2 tbsp. raw almonds; peach
M3: Clif Mint Power Bar
M4: Grilled Garlic Chicken; sauteed veggies w/ 2 tsp. parm cheese; sweet potato
M5: Chocolate Pro Pudding w/ 2 tbsp. oats & 1/2 c. cottage cheese

2037.5 calories (2000 calorie goal)
50 g. fat - 22%
201 g. protein - 40%
196 g. carbs - 38%

Food was spot on this weekend except Saturday but I did well on Saturday despite it was a cheat day.

Debbie - Good Luck on the test! I am sure you will do well, because your a pro at riding that bike by now!!!:D:D:D

Debbie,

Don't be scared....you will ace the test! No problem. Let us know when you get back that you passed!! hehe

You watched the Notebook??? lol. I cannot watch romantic movies while doing cardio, but that is just me. I would want to stop to get a tissue to wipe my eyes. lol. Do love that movie though. Nice workout anyways. I did my cardio this morning walking instead along this trail in town. Kinda hot out.

Time for shoulders/abs after lunch.

This morning,I did all of Amy's Step Challenge 3

I do think this one has a slightly easier learning curve to it. Cardio portions with the power ups was 685 (even with me stumbling in some spots since this was a first for combos 4,5, and the power ups) The two abs segments burned another 209 calories. Then I did Amy's All Pump Extreme biceps and triceps segments and stretch. I subbed tricep pressdowns with my heavy blue band for the triceps push ups. Total calories burned for weights and abs segments was 385.
Total calories burned today was 1070 and I burned 50% fat.
I took granddaughters to school between the cardio portions and the abs segments so I really did two stretches. The one on step Challenge 3 and the one on APX. Got to go pick up the grandchildren in a bit. Tomorrow is my dd's birthday so we are going out to dinner since her husband has class then. I need to eat well today because I am not sure how good I will be at the restaurant

Debbie, good luck with the license:)

Debbie- How'd you make out on the test? You passed, right? :)

Toasty- I bet you're happy you're tired and sore from the new rotation, eh? ;) It's kind of hot here, too. Not looking forward to the Indian summer. I've always thought they were the worst.

Linda- Awesome job on your workout. :)

WD- How many grandkids do you take care of? Do you pick them up from their house to take them to school? You're a very busy woman. LOL I'm amazed you have the energy! I'm pooped by 5 pm. :)

Diane Sue,

Debbie, how did the test go today?

Charlotte, how is the shoulder and neck area doing with the workouts??

Lisa, I have 6 grandchildren that I keep. I keep the 6 month old all through the school year as my youngest dd is a teacher. I pick up 3 of them from one school on average 3 days a week. I take the other two to school on their Dad's set on (he is a police officer) which is usually 8 days on and 6 off. One is in middle school so I take her early. The other goes to a private school and so we have to kill some time in the mornings before her school starts. All of the schools are from 6-8 miles from me. Their parents generally bring them to me or pick them up from my house. Sometimes that changes:) It does require a lot of running and makes it difficult at times getting things done in between. Probably more than you really wanted to know LOL I do enjoy my time with them though. Those are the moments you can't get back later when they are all grown. My one dd is looking into adopting another child:0 Told me yesterday. That will take awhile though. I told her I was going to need a bus!

Linda, how did you like Amy's Step Challenge 3? I think I am really going to like it a lot once I have it all down.

DianeSue - I loved ASC III, only wish I got up earlier and done the whole thing. The funny thing is when you preview these workouts they seem to take forever and then when you do them they fly by. When I would get to one of the preview moves in the workout I would think "Are we there already?". Did you get Rumble? If so what do you think? I was going to order it then wasn't sure with the early reviews, new reviews say it's great. Unfortunately I can't get the previews from her website to play so I haven't been able to take a look for myself.

I can't believe I'm still up. This is madness. The stairs didn't end up happening; I did Legs and Glutes standing, and the the stability ball abs section from Butts and Guts. And now for bed. =)
