Who is your favorite actor and for what reason? Mine is William Fichtner for intellectual and superficial reasons.

Well, apart from the fact that he is, in fact, a GOD, Brad Pitt is a pretty fine actor (Troy aside).

And then there's Johnny Depp. Also not hard to look at, but a fine actor.

I could go on, but we'd be here all day and I think I need to go daydream now:)
 
William Fichtner is one of those actors who don't get the big roles, only the supporting ones. He is such a great actor that you may not realize that he has been in many many movies. He has been in "Perfect Storm", "Black Hawk Down", "Contact" (he played the blind astronomer) etc. And he is hot hot hot!
 
Oh yeah, I know who you're talking about now! I read your first post and I, too, was like "Who's William Fitchner???" But now I know exactly who you're talking about. Yes, he was excellent in Contact. Haven't seen many of his other films though.

My favorite actor is Alan Rickman (possibly another one that will get a reaction of "Who the heck???"). His voice is like velvet and I would love nothing more than to have him sit in front of me and read me poetry. That voice is mesmerizing! He was fabulously funny in Dogma, and made me have a huge crush on Professor Snape in the Harry Potter movies. And he was deliciously evil as the sheriff in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. *sigh*
 
Oooooooh, Emily, I love Alan Rickman!!! Have you seen "Truly, Madly, Deeply"? He's awesome in that one. And also in "Love, Actually".
 
I know - there are so many Alan Rickman films I have yet to see! I keep bugging DH to put them on his NetFlix queue, but for some strange reason, he is resisting! Why would he not want me to see all the wonderful Alan Rickman movies? I cannot understand! LOL! ;)
 
Viggo Mortensen. yummy. so what, he is my dad's age, he is HOT!!! and oh that bod!
I also love Joaquin Phoenix, he has an intensity about him, I just can't keep my eyes off of him.

I have seen Harry Potter too often to think of Alan Rickman as something other than who my kids don't like! He is a great actor, though!
 
Alan Rickman was also in one of the Die Hard films (I think it was the first one).

I like an actor named Adrian Pasdar. He was in Top Gun as one of the lesser-known pilots. He also starred in a film called Vital Signs (what a hottie!!!), and he's co-starred in a bunch of "smaller" films. He also starred on a TV series for a while.

And, I'll admit, I'm an Orlando Bloom fan right now, too.
 
Viggo Mortensen was so HOT as Aragorn. All kind of scruffy and dirty and.... well, you get the idea. So much better than the prissy Elf (Legolas aka Orlando Bloom).:p
 
I loved Viggo in A Perfect Murder as Gwyneth Paltrow's lover. The first time I saw that I just melted!

I agree with you about Legolas. I won't tell my daughter, though. Last year for Valentine's Day someone ave her a card with a picture of him on it. She still has it on her wall. :+
 
Count me in as another Alan Rickman fan! I love his voice and that he's so versatile.

Ooooh, i love orlando bloom!

but, i think my main vote would have to go to gary oldman. he was HOT as dracula and he always plays an awesome bad guy, like in the professional. love him, LOVE HIM!!!

*gasp* How could I forget Gary Oldman! He's a fantastic actor, and virtually unrecognizable from role to role. I adore him.

Jude Law was very sexy in Cold Mountain...which is a great movie, but the ending was WRONG!!!

I love Sean Connery....I would call him Granddaddy any day!!!! LOL..He is SOOOOOOOOO Sexy!
