Diet day disaster

Yesterday was a horrible day of eating for me. What has happened to me? Yesterday on my way home from work (6 a.m.) I stopped and got a Chick Fil A chicken biscuit. My excuse was to help keep me awake for the ride home. Then a SB latte then another stop for another biscuit. Those were for my son, but I got another one. Late lunch was steamed dumplings from the local China House. I at every single one of them and wanted more. Then those silly peanut bliss bars (10 maybe). I could'nt stop. I only hope today will be better.

Hi Christie,

Don't beat yourself up for a bad day! It only makes it harder to stay committed. Maybe pack some healthy hi-energy snacks for the car to eat on way home. Don't even stop at Chick Fil A for your son--too close to temptation! Food like that also makes your hungrier and sleepier because of the sugar rush and ensuing crash. You could also try a smaller version of the latte (SB makes a "short" size that's smaller than the tall--8 oz vs 12.) It's just one day, not the end of the world. Good luck!

Chocolate IS the answer, regardless of the question.

Hi Christie,

Like Jonahnah, don't beat yourself up too much for one bad day of eating! Remember that today is a new day, with new chances for eating better!:)

I have been going thru the same thing. Usually I am pretty good about what I eat but for the past few days I am so hungry that I will eat anything. I don't seem able to get a grip on it. When this happens I sometimes just let it go until it burns itself out which it usually does. Every day is a new day so today we will see what happens. I just wonder and worry about what triggers this as nothing in my life has changed really or become stressful (at least more than normal).

Those peanut bliss bars are evil. If your talking about the WW ones. I won't buy them I would eat a box a day.

Everyone has days like that. Just don't beat yourself up over it. I find when I dwell on the bad stuff I eat I just want it more.
