Good Morning Everyone!

I guess I'm up first today.

Well, I did Circuit Max (modified ofcourse) last night for the first time! OH MY GOODNESS! That is a butt-kicker! Even modified down, it kicked my bootie! }( Trying to figure out how to modify some of it was a tad confusing but overall I really liked the work out.

So I am thinking I am gonna be bad today...I am seriously debating calling out sick from work today..."playing hookey"...I just don't wanna go!;( Gotta make up my mind soon....decisions decisions! lol

Wendy - I have been debating whether or not to buy the ciruit max/cardio kicks dvd. Do you find it an essential part of your Cathe DVD inventory? I have KPC and KickBox so do I really need CardioKicks?

Today for me is KPC. I fell off the January rotation this week due to too much illness. I lost too many workout days - ACK!

Good Morning,

No workout for me-I still feel like total crap. My head is pounding, my eyes are watery, my nose is running and my neck is sore. I wish I could stay home.;( In fact, I can't believe I'm still going to work. I want to save my vacation days for when I'm on maternity leave. Besides, I have all weekend to rest.

Good Morning everyone! I am ready to head into work. Last night I took a rest day as my ankle has really been bothering me lately. Everytime I do step aerobics, it throbs the next day. I think I need to buy an actual real Club Step. I have a homemade one, (made out of wood) and I think because there is no 'give' it hurts my joints.....my husband thinks it might be an excuse to buy more workout stuff! LOL I told him I don't need excuses for that . .

Tonight will be Muscle Endurance and a long walk with the dog and I should be back on track! Hope everyone has a great day!

Wendy: Congrats on your first baby! How exciting! I am still planning on waiting one more year, but watching my friends start families makes me wonder what I am waiting for! :)
 
Wendy....I hope you feel better...:)..I hate colds.

Cardio Kicks is one of Cathe's that I don't have...maybe one day...:)

I was trying to fight off a UTI, but it finally won. Haven't had one in like 16 years and I hate being on antibiotics!!! YUK!!!

At least I can still workout, so I am running 4 miles and doing some Shoulder, bicep and tricep work....

Hi good morning. Today is PUB in the January rotation.Wendy the hi/low of CM Hoow, I am tired.Tammy I am the only but I prefer CK than KPC.It is similar to the kickbox cardio of the ctx dvd.Wendy I hope you will feel better soon.Reba I have a profesional step and I try to alternate kickbox and step. If I do step daily my joints start to bother me.Carole have a great day.

hey all! i am not working out today b/c of this upper-respiratory thing....x( another week of my rotation screwed again! yesterday i attempted the workout posted and i got 1/2 way through Allstep and was sweating so much and so breatless that i had to stop. treid to do L/G but i was too weak and dizzy, so i opted for floor work only. ;( i have been wishing for some cold weather, but i have decided that summer needs to come the hell on so all this sick bs will go away! it's cld and raining here today, but since i can't workout i am going to go into town andget a manicure and a massage if they can fit me in last min.i wonder if i can talk them into using vick's vapor rub instead of oil?! what do ya think Carole?

well, burn some calories for me girls!!!!

Hi Tammy.

I don't have KPC but I do have KickBox (ctx)and happen to really like it alot! Cardio kicks is like the longer version of Kickbox with a lot more choreography goin' on and you need a good amount of room to do it unless you modify the moves for space. I am not crazy crazy about it but I've only done it once so it could grow on me. I liked Circuit Max a lot tho.

Aw Wendy. I feel terrible for ya. :-( If it'll make ya feel any better though...when you get to the ob for your first check up they should direct you to start taking prenatal vitamins. I have been on them since about 5 weeks pg and I haven't hardly had a sniffle since! They make you like a wonder woman! lol I ALWAYS got sick as a dog around nov-dec every year...not last year (2004). Those vitamins are keepin' me in tip top shape! Even with all of the nasty things be passed around in my office and elsewhere! :)

Well, guilt got the best of me so here I sit at work...maybe I should actually DO SOME now!:p

Morning all! This morning was Step & Intervals. Whew! I like that workout. I especially love the part when the music changes and Cathe makes a comment like "we're getting funky" because funky is the perfect word to describe the music.

I'm excited because I just purchased the SB/SJ&P DVD. I can't wait to get it!!! I hate waiting for stuff to be shipped. You know it's coming and that just makes it all the harder to wait.

Wendy - Sorry you still feel yucky!

Reba - ME is my favorite weight workout!

Jes - Feel better soon. There is so much going around right now it's difficult to stay healthy.

Saw some nice workouts! Carole, running again? I wish I could run every day:)

Did CTX Step intervals, added on the step segments of Power Circuits (so excl. the weights), then did CTX biceps+shoulders.

I'll be doing L&G as soon as I have posted this.

Well, I have been on the phone twice already with my blind date since yesterday's post and he'll be calling me again after dinner. How about that? Apparently he's bald (as in no hair).... I'm not really into bald men, but he does sound very nice on the phone. He offered to pick me up at home for our date, but I declined. I prefer men not to know where I live until I've met them and really like them. He said he was really looking forward to our night out.

Good morning everyone!! You can't see me, but I'm grinning from ear to ear. I just feel so flippin' good this morning I can't stand it. I was asleep by 8:30 last night, and slept solid until my alarm went off at 5am. What a difference a good night's sleep makes to your mental clarity!

I did a modified IMAX this morning. Kept the step at 6 inches, did modified versions of intervals 4, 5 & 10, and kept my efforts at between 70-80% for the rest of them. Wooweee, that was fun! I love interval workouts - especially when you don't work yourself hard lol! Then I did the BS/BF stability ball add-on. That's a great little ab workout! It's like an easier version of PUB. I'll definitely be doing that one more often. It felt good on my very tired lower back.

Tammy - If you really like Kickbox and KPC, and want more kickbox in your rotations, then Cardio Kicks would be an ideal addition to your collection. The first 25 minutes is, as Wendymin said, very similar to Kickbox, but more highly choreographed. The last 15 minutes or so are leg and punching drills. Personally I love the drills at the end the very best; the first 25 minutes of cardio had to grow on me a bit. I really like the entire workout now. However, Cathe is on the verge of releasing KickMax, which sounds like it's going to be similar to KPC. Depending on which kickboxing style you like best, you might prefer KickMax? Circuit Max is a terrific workout; one of her best, IMO. The CK/CM dvd is worth buying for that workout alone.

Wendybdy - Oh, how awful! I wish you could stay home and veg in bed all day!

Carole - You fought the good fight, but the bacteria won. I'm sorry to hear that. Get better soon!

And Jes! - last week it was migraines going around, and this week it's bugs. At least you attempted your workouts, but were smart enough to know when to call it quits. Enjoy your pampering! Last night I was too exhausted to even type my name. Hopefully I'll get back to you today.

Katie - you just ordered my very favourite dvd! I can't imagine not having that gem in my collection. Fun, fun, fun!!! And I'm with you on S&I. My favourite music of that entire series is that funky bit. I wish she had put a lot more of that kind of stuff in that series.

Mariangeles - I pulled out my Fantastic Four yesterday and took 10 minute breaks in my work to preview Still Steppin', and give the moves a go. I got through the first half before my brain blew a fuse. I'll attempt the second half today, perhaps. She throws a lot of stuff at you, very quickly. But it's fun! I like her music!

Wendymin - If you had played hookey today, what would you have done?

I began my coffee weaning process yesterday by having a cup of Orange Pekoe tea at 10am, instead of my usual coffee. I was more tired than usual in the afternoon, which might have been the result of having 1/3 of my usual caffeine dose. We'll see how it goes this afternoon. No headache, at least!

Hi Dutchie,

Is your date tonight? I was just reading in the newspaper this morning that some research has been done that indicates that older woman (post-menopausal) had more active sex lives when they wore a perfume spiked with a splash of armpit sweat from a younger woman!!! I wouldn't recommend applying this trick until you have met your fellow and know whether you want to kick things up a notch!

I'm so excited!!! I will be teaching yoga classes on Saturday mornings at a yoga studio!!!!!! I use to teach in Houston and have missed it so much!!! Yipeeee:7 :7

Dh will be out of town this weekend, so after work I'll be doing MIC (step), abs, and practice my yoga. Then I'm off to the studio to see the movie "Indigo".....have any of you seen it?

Hi Ladies,

Not good news for me today. Got a call from my sister, my Dad is in ICU with Pneumonia. Apparently he has a tube down his throat to help him breath. So I will be heading up north tonight with my brother to be there for my Mom. The doctor says he is going to be fine. She is the one not doing to well. Can't say as I blame her.

I started taking Prenatal vitamins on Tuesday when I had my first Dr. appointment but I think this was already well underway. Hopefully, once this is gone I won't have anymore trouble.
 
Hi all, I did a KPC/L&G premix, the one that says Kicks/Punches plus ankle weights exercise + abs but there are no abs. It is 51 min. long and just right for today.:7

Hope your date goes well Dutchie.

Glad all the pg women are doing well also.

And to the one of you who is still sick I pray that you get better soon.

Had I played hookey I probably would have been productive around the house believe it or not! It's not that I wanted to be lazy but I just didn't feel like going to work. I probably would've cleaned and done laundry! I'm wierd like that! lol :+

Circuit Max kicked my ever lovin' butt last night!lol It's a great work out! I must agree with that one but it beat me even with the mods I put in! Actually though, it could have something to do with the fact that the night before I had done all weight work so by body was already a bit fried! lol Next time I will make sure I do it after a rest day, or after cardio only...maybe it won't be so harsh then! I still have to do the drill section of CK. Haven't gotten around to trying that yet...I know I definately love the drill section of ctx kickbox so I'm thinkin' I would like this too. We shall see.

onight is cardio only...I'm takin' it easy too...Gazelle for 45 minutes is all that's on the agenda for me tonight. I need the break.

So Sandra, you haven't been feeling really tired huh? During a lot of my first trimester I was a mess! I could barely find the energy to exercise every other day. I hope you make it through with energy! I would have preferred to but then again, I suffered no other issues at the time (except for eating like a pig! lol) so I can't really complain, huh? :p

Hi all,

I did PLB today, and I'm about to go do PUB, as well. I missed a couple days this week and I'm feeling REALLY energetic! Maybe two days off is good?

The sun is out, which is very helpful, even when it's cold.
