CTX Rotation - uping weights?

Hi everyone-

Just wondering... I have been doing my own version of the CTX series with 2 body parts per day. From the CTX series I have All Step, LL, Power Circuit, and Step & Intervals, plus CTX Upper. I do a cardio section each day and then add in 2 weight sections after. Since I do not have the whole series I add in a Hi/Low one day and then Circuit Max and a Yoga day. I am really enjoying the rotation and feeling worked, however, I have not felt the need to increase my weight for any of the lifting. I pretty much match Cathe's weights throughout.

Any of you up the weight when doing this kind of rotation?

Thanks!

If you need to up your weight, you need to up your weight. If it is no longer challenging you then by all means hike it. I don't think there is anyone on this forum that would purposely stay at what Cathe uses just to stay at what Cathe uses...

It does not matter what rotation you are doing, you should always be concerned with acheiving progressive overload.

However, at a faster pace you may up the weights and then realize you made a mistake. This might very well happen for CTX or you might suprise yourself!!

I don't know if anyone else experiences this or not, but I have an incredibly tough time upping the weights on CTX upperbody. I swear, I'm doing the same weights (cathe's weights) after doing it for months on end as I did the first time I did it. NOW...I have progressively upped the weights in my slow and heavy lifting sessions and I always have at least one heavy upper body (lower too) lifting session per week and I continually progress, although at a very slow rate currently, with these sessions, but for the life of me I can't up the weights in endurance routines. I chalk it up to zippo slow twitch muscles and treat the endurance days as preparation for my heavy lifting days...if I eliminate the endurance day, I generally set myself up for muscle strains or possibly over training problems.

Just throwing these thoughts out and letting you know that I too have a tough time upping weights on these type of workouts.
