Converting vhs to dvd

I started converting my old vhs workouts to dvd's last year and am finally about to finish the project. I have been using a vhs/dvd player we got several years ago before we were willing to completely commit to dvd's. Most of my collection is converting just fine with the exception of many of my FIRM videos. The FIRM's when they were with BMG have some sort of encryption that my converter can't deal with. I know that it should be no big deal since these workouts are very old, but I can't seem to let them go. They are what got me into shape originally and ultimately gave me the confidence to pursue my career in fitness. So does anyone have any ideas on how to deal with this sort of problem? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
