Confused on Freestyle Training?

I've checked a couple of website links posted here about freestyle training .. but I can't seem to find anything that really gives specifics about what "freestyle training" is? Could someone please explain the concept to me, how one lifts in freestyle training and what the benefits/results are? I'm looking to change up my weight lifting routine and want to try something totally new.

TIA!

I'm not completely up on the details myself, but when I tried my hand (or legs LOL) at this I started by using Cathe's Aug. 2004 rotation based on advice from this board and was really happy with the results. This was several months ago. I would suggest doing a search of this forum for information because it's been a frequent topic here and you'll get a lot of your questions answered right away. Just click on the search button at the top of the page and enter freestyle training. You get a eyeful!
Then if you still have a more specific question I'm sure someone here will be able to answer it.
Hope this helps,
Mattea

Mattea is right as it has been discussed alot in the last few weeks. Basically the concept is to work your lower body 4-6 times a week, doing 4-6 exercises a day. Alot of the focus is done on various types of lunges: front, reverse, crossover. One thing to remember is if you are doing a weight workout cut back 70% on what you normally lifted before. For example if you normally use 50lbs for squats the freestyle way would be to use 35 lbs. You really can use any of the Cathe weight workouts this way. You also need to do cardio workouts. I usually suggest for anyone to get the book for additional exercises and info. This is the site http://www.gsnyderproductions.com/home3.htm ...:)..Carole
