Coffee before a workout!

I just heard on The Daily Buzz that people who drank 2 cups of coffee 1 hour before they hit the gym, reported a 48% reduction in post workout soreness versus the placebo group.

Anyone see similar results? I usually have coffee before I workout, so I wonder if I'd have more DOM's if I didn't!!:9

I'll never know, because I would never be able to get my butt to the gym without drinking a pot of coffee first. :p Sounds like good news though! :D

I completely agree. I could not even think about doing any of the IMAX's without coffee and I do find that a cup about 20 mins to an hour before a workout sends me to the moon in energy capacity! Love that.
 
Can I take a caffeine pill instead? I can't spare any more time in the morning to drink a cup of coffee at a leisurly pace.
 
That's so interesting.

I'm amazed (and kind of jealous of) those that can handle caffiene.
I can believe that coffee could decrease muscle soreness, but everyone is so different. For me, it would never be worth it.

I had to give up caffienated drinks. I get so addicted to just 1 cup per day. Even if I only drank it in the morning, my sleep suffered. It had bad effects on PMS/TTOTM for me too.

Anyway, it's so interesting to me that some of you drink it...and a lot! Enjoy! (as I sip my sparkling water)

I too will never know because I am such a creature of habit. I start every day with coffee and a banana. I still got some kick @$$ DOMS from B&G though!}(
