^^^^^^Clean & Tidy... Wed^^^^^^

Hi, Sjeila, Beavs, Trixie, Jess, Andrea, Colleen, Stephanie, Elaine and Kate. Or should I say Clean and Tidy Peeps.

Today w/o Kim Kickboxing plus abs.
Fluids 60-80 oz I have to it so hot outside, yesterday at the beach I felt myself getting light headed.

B-Egg whites and canandian bacon
S- OJ
L- China Buffet (HELP)I'm going to look for the steam veggies and chicken
S- yogurt and wheat germ
D-turkey sausage and whole wheat pasta 1/4 cup
S- chocolate pop sugar free

Do any of you cook one dish for you family and one dish for yourself? My kids do not like brown rice and whole wheat pasta, but I do. I find myself leaning over a hot stove alot.

Hey Robin! I feel honored being addressed as a "Clean & Tidy Peep" ;-)

Last night's dinner with SO was filled with green beans, salad, a bit of German potato salad, and chicken. He makes this awesome sauce using green onion, real maple syrup, and vinegar. Not terribly clean but tasty. I followed up dinner with some "Only 8" pseudo ice cream in a kiddie cone, a welcome treat after Cardio & Weights.

Today's plan is....
breakfast: Kashi with skim milk, tea with cream & sugar
snack: unsweetened applesauce
lunch: big ol' salad with field greens, carrots, a piece of fish, and a bit of swiss cheese
snack: green tea
dinner: big ol' salad with some chopped chicken in top, with green beans and yellow squash from my garden
dessert: hmmmmm perhaps another pretend ice cream cone?????

Hey Robin, Beav's and all clean peeps to follow!!!
I love that too Robin by the way!

Beavs, i'm moving in with you!! My SO doesn't cook at all. And its pretty clean, between Robin and Canadian bacon and you with the maple syrup, you need to come visit my in Toronto!!!

Ah, Toronto! What a great place. I have fond memories of mojitos and great music at the Reservoir Lounge. I'm on my way Steph! Have the ample syrup ready!

Beavs you have a garden, you lucky girl. Good w/o Steph, Jess, and Elaine. I turn off my airconditioner b/c I want to sweat during my w/o. Jess white bean chilli sounds good. I love white beans in my salad too. Today I took my kids for their checkup and my son is over weight. He gained 30# in one year. :-( . He is 10 and has to get his cholesterol checked. I doubt he has high levels b/c I don't fry anything, but I don't know what he eats before and afterschool. He walks to school with my daughter.I've stop buying unhealthy snacks a months ago. I know I have to stop him from eating at night, so I'm going to set up new rules for him. No eating after 7:30 and just one hour of internet wrestling. When he gets back to school....more rules will have to be followed.

Do you think that I'm being to hard on him.

Ah Mojitos!! Now we're talking! I should try to score some real maple syrup for the RT! Too bad it costs a fortune
S

Oh Robin, that's a tough one. Its not recommded to be too restrictive, because in kids it can lead to disordered eating patterns. If you take the junk out entirely and only stock healthy options, i think that's a good start for sure.
What about activity? Can you get him out after dinner for a walk, or game?
He will also follow your lead Ms Clean eater!! They follow examples are you are doing so well, i'm sure your habits will rub off on him!
Steph

Love the Clean and Tidy Peeps title!!!

I had an early staff meeting this morning so I had to wake up at 0430 to get in a workout. That is just way to early after having been on vacation for six weeks!!! Grrrrr! Workout was Jari Love Ripped (I am really loving her w/o's).

Meals so far:

B: Ezekiel wrap w/ nut butter and all natural jelly
S: nectarine
L: soy nuggets
S: red peppers and hummus

Don't know what dinner will be.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Hi Lori.
I saw your other post and I was wondering do you like itread?
It seems alot cheaper than cardiocoach.

I am CRAZY about iTread! I have posted a lot about various iTreads. I really, really enjoy them. I did 9 yesterday...it rocks! 7.2 miles in 60 minutes! Grace really makes you work!

Do you know about the free codes? AH2007 and CW2007. You can use both for each email address you sign up. Download a few and you can see how you like them. That's what I did and I was instantly hooked.

I do like Cardio Coach, but I like that Grace gives you exact numbers for speed and incline. It's just a personal preference. I know a lot of people prefer CC.

Hi there everyone!

I know I've been MIA lately. I have been lurking (and missing you guys) at night but I have had little to no time in the early am (my usual "me" time) to post. I've also not been able to workout in the mornings due to a bunch of very early start times at work so I'm feeling like a sloth. I do get out of work a little earlier due to the heat but I just can't quite get up the "oomph" to do it when I get home, especially after riding 8(ish) horses a day plus whatever barn work in the heat and humidity. I guess I need to just buck up and do it.

I'm so excited about the August rotation and want to really be on my game for Cathe's step class the Friday am of the RT. You all are such motivation for me and I think I may need to just stop feeling sorry for myself and jump in. Thanks for the inspiration, and later, the perspiration :+.

Today's menu...
B - spinach and mushroom egg white omelette
S - steel cut oats with blackberries (picked fresh from our farm)
L - salad with shrimp, cherries, nat PB on 1 slice of Ezekiel (I miss my Alvarado Street Bakery Flaxseed ;( ;()
S - banana
D - chipotle turkey meatloaf, grilled balsamic summer squash and red peppers
I'm going to try to skip dessert...who knows, maybe BM2 tonight before "So You Think You Can Dance"?

Oh, and congratulations Lorie!

Everyone have a good night and I apologize for the ramble,

I'm a little frustrated today. I got on the scale, and it hasn't budged. I don't really need to lose any weight, but I'd like to lose just a few pounds, and it's not happening. It seems like I'm always about the same no matter how much or what I eat, which makes it hard to not go crazy and to say, "To heck with it!" Ah, well.

Here's today:

B - Soy yoghurt & OJ smoothie
L - Roasted veggies, about 1/3 cup mixed walnuts & raisins
S - Granola bar, 1 cup soymilk
D - Spaghetti & "meatballs"

Workout will be Step Fit, it would have been an upper body workout day, but I'm still sore from Monday's kickboxing.

I just saw the RT board this morning, I'm so excited to hear everybody being excited about it, lol! I'm living vicariously here.

And the rest of my day....

Snack ~ Apple warmed & topped w/ yogurt, 1/2 c. Kashi GL

Lunch/ snack ~ Took the kids to the pool for 3 hrs so I packed lunch/ snacks. I had a Light flatbread w/ PB & SFJ, 15 mixed nuts. And then a little later I had a Fiber one choc. chip bar & 1 serving white cheddar soy crisps.

Dinner ~ I had a pizza made on a MG flatbread w/ tomato sauce, turkey pepperoni, & FF feta; some raw cucumbers & tomatoes, & steamed zucchini. (love having fresh produce this time of year!)

Dessert ~ Deep choc. Vitatop w/ NM PB

Snack ~ SF hot cocoa, svg of white cheddar soy crisps (and the kids finished them off- whew!

More of a tidy day today I guess! But I burned off plenty of cals workin' out & at the pool!! ;-)

Steph - Thanks for asking about Mufasa! He is WONDERFUL! He has the sweetest little nature - he just wants to be cuddled and loved. Annie seems like she is (slowly) learning to accept him. I can't wait to see the 2 of them ganging up on the UPS guy together!!!:p

Eating was great again today!!!!! I'm so proud og myself. Not much time to post much more but so glad to read that everyone is doing well.

Robin - sorry to hear about your son. My 5-yo. DD has a terrible sweet tooth (gee, wonder where she gets THAT from??!!) and we really have to be careful w/ her. She's already tall for her age (DH is very tall too) so I would hate for her to get chunky and really stand out. The biggest thing would proabably be what was already posted - activity. Would he do Cathe bootcamp or weights w/ you? Probably would feel embarrassed if he's like other young boys I know!

Well, see you later. Have a good morning tomorrow!
