Morning Robin, Angie, and all to follow! I "slept in" until 6:15 this morning - since I was up til almost midnight wrapping Damn, Santa got a lot of stuff!!
Last night we went to the Elks to pack Christmas baskets for needy families, and I ended up unwrapping and lifting huge trays of green bean cans - and I am sore! Well, mostly my back and shoulders. WO today will be cardio and chest/bis/tris.

NIce day yday AND CLEAN EATS. No formal WO but we took a nice walk outside - chllly but sunny and beautiful! Today will probably be the same as yday - busybusy!
Need to go to chiro too to gt my shoulder worked on again. I think I might see a massage therapist too next week. I miss my weights!!!!

Okay, I have to get this off my chest.... My MIL is a B!TCH!
A little background on her... She and my FIL have been married for about 30 years, but about 10 years ago she started having an affair. Well eventually she moved out of the home where her husband and kids were to live with her boyfriend. She splits her time between the two men - when she gets off work, she goes to FIL's house and does her "workout" and eats dinner with FIL, then goes home to her boyfriend for the night. It has been like this for 10ish years. PS, MIL and FIL are still married, no talk of divorce.
She is unbelievably controlling and manipulative. Some of you may remember the sh!t she pulled right before my wedding. She just has to be in control.
Oh, and she drinks. A LOT.
So here is the situation now... In DH's family, the Christmas Eve tradition has always been to have dinner at the grandparents house, then open presents. It has been that way for 27+ years. Well about 2 days ago, MIL decided that she wanted her "husband" and children to come to HER house on Christmas Eve. So now the 27+ year tradition has been cancelled. Chris's grandmother is so upset, and some other family members are openly upset. But FIL is wrapped so tightly around her finger that he does whatever she says. And his parents won't have Christmas without him....
I have tried and tried to get Chris to stand up for his grandparents and the traditions of the family, but he "doesn't want to get involved." And I am certainly not going to get involved.
And to add one more twist to the whole thing... Before Chris and I got married, my Christmas Eve tradition was to go to the candlelight service at church. But I gave that up for Chris to be with him for HIS tradition. But since his tradition is being broken this year, I told him that I will be going to church tonight at 7 pm. If he wants to go, that's fine. If not, that's fine too.
What would you do if you were in my position???

Kate, we have asked that the get-together be earlier so that we can go to church at 7. But I am sure that as soon as MIL hears that I want to go to church at 7, she will say that her get-together begins at 7. Ugghhhh....

katie, htat is such a sticky situation. sorry you have to deal with it on the holidays. i feel this time of year brings out both the best and the worst in ppl, sometimes we are not on our best behavior... though it sounds like she is not the most well-behaved woman in the first place?!?!
angie, no way could your flight be any worse than last time =) smart to try to leave a little earlier. enjoy!!!!!!!!!

plan is power class, come home to more baking, wrapping, and cleaning. we go to a GFs house xmas eve, then g4et together with DHs fam xmas morning, this year here. i asked to host because even though its a lot of work, its easier than going to someone elses non-babyproof house and not-so-clean house=( and at least i have more control over the food served when its at my place.
will keep my first two meals clean and do my best with whats presented this eve.

Hi Everyone!
I am at my sister's house and enjoying visiting with my family. We just finished lunch and now it is nap time. MRest of the family will arrive this evening and we will have dinner and exchange gifts with the extended family. Tomorrow we will open gifts with my sister and her family, then go to the in-laws for dinner and finally home. It is a long couple of days for us but we see everyone at Christmas which is nice.
This morning's workout was 12 min Lauren Brooks KB followed by HIIT Pyramid. No workout tomorrow - no time.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone and I hope Santa brings you everything you want!

Just got back from the store. It was crowded but wasn’t as bad as it could have been. We are now working on finishing up wrapping gifts and putting up some more decorations. As the day goes on I get more and more sore from Circuit Blast yesterday, but it was fun

I would say do what you think will cause you the less stress for later, but if you are anything like me, no matter what I did I would still be up worrying about it tonight!

My day was hard but it went fast. No one was slow shopping..you know. Everyone was demanding but in a nice way like "do you have anymore house shoes and if so can you take me there". People wanted to get in and get what they needed and go home.
Tomorrow I'll get caught up but now I'm going to soak my feet.
