Catalog suggestion

In Cathe's catalog, I would love to see detailed exercises being used.

This way I can see which other exercises I need to include in my routine for the day. This will help me with overseeing other exercises that need to be done on a regular basis, or make sure not to do some exercises too often. Such as abs, calves, shins, forearms etc. I'm a very detailed/analytical person and like that sort of thing.

What do you all think. Too much?

I guess I could also put this in "Ask Cathe" forum also.

Yeah, I think it might be too much to ask.

When I am pre-viewing each workout for the first time, I sit with a large pad of paper and pen and write down every exercise Cathe does with the amount of weight she uses and my suggested amount I might use. I keep all these logs in a file and can see at a glance exactly which exercises each workout offers.

Sometimes, there are things we have to do for ourselves, right?

Janie,
That is something we could do on the forum and maybe make a sticky thread out of it, if that's possible. If folks are interested and want to volunteer, they could each write out the breakdown for one video, and then it wouldn't be too much work on one person. It would be cool to know, too, which weight Cathe & crew use for each exercise. Just a thought.

Somebody has already worked up a set of worksheets with weights from most of Cathe's weight workouts. I don't know who originally did it, but I got it from someone else's website a while back, and I have a link to download it from my blog (though mine is a little cluttered with some of my own entries to the worksheets). You can find it on the right side of the page, titled "Cathe's Weight Worksheets" here: http://web.mac.com/lainiefig/iWeb/Site/Exercise/Exercise.html

Again, I can't take credit for these and I'm not sure who should get credit. Maybe someone else knows who originally passed them around?

I forgot about the worksheets.

Still, Supersets and Push Pull DVD's (on site) mention all the exercises on them, so why couldn't they be mentioned on the others as well? It would help people new to Cathe and people like myself who would appreciate the contents of a DVD. Even if it isn't in the catalog, somewhere on Cathe's site would be great. I like all my information in one spot.

Just a thought,

I think that might be a better idea: listing every exercise on the DVD's might take up too much space in the catalog.

What I'd like to see in the catalog and on the DVD's themselves, is a consistant listing of the run times of each workout. On many DVD's that have more than one workout on, the total running time is indicated, and the breakdown of each segment of the DVD's is noted, but I don't want to have to do math every time I want to know how long a workout is. It seems like a rather odd omission to me.

I've noticed this, too, and I always end up having to get out my catalog to look up the total running time. It would be so nice if it were posted on the actual DVD itself!
