Hello Ladies ...

another scortcher on tap for today .. I flat ironed my hair this morning and stepped outside .. POOF ... frizzy friz friz! The weather man called for at least 6 more weeks of hot and humid weather .. LOL! :confused:

so last night .. oh MY!!! I super duper fried my lower body .. the air was on .. but it was hot .. my face was as blood red as the shorts I was wearing ... the plyo work combined w/the leg burnout exercises FRIED my poor lower half .. the power yoga did help ease the pain some . . and I left feeling pretty darned satisfied!!:p

Today .. ummmmm .. gotta little DOMing going on .. but it is all good!!:D

No big plans for the weekend .. SIL and I are both home this weekend .. so we will be torchering each other .. she chooses one w/o one day .. me the next ... {{{ evil grin }}} .... I will do my best to get on the computer and check in w/you gals ... supposed to be hot and sunny .. so I am sure the afternoons will be spent lounging around the pool!! :cool:

It is busy in here .. FIRST of the month .. and PIA actually showed up .. {{{ faint and fall out }}} .... so I will be back later for personals!! have a great sweaty Friday (and payday for me .. wooooo hoooooo)
 
Good Afternoon Lovely Ladies.

Today's work out will be 4DS B&T plus the first half of Tony's 1 on 1 Plyo work out. Yes, I am FINALLY going to do it. I've been putting it off cause I'm scared but I figure HALF of it can't be THAT bad....Can it??? :confused: Well I guess I'll find out, now won't I!?! :p

I am going to venture into new territory starting now...I am going to try working legs only with plyo and running. I will concentrate on hills when I get on the TM to run and will do plyo a couple times per week as well. I want to see what it does for me as they say plyo is good for leaning out the lower body. We shall see....

Okay, time to get some java brewin'!

Well 4DS B&T went out the window. I ended up doing One on One Plyo Legs in full and guess what!? I LOVED IT! :D

Hey ..

Plyo work is excellent for leaning out the legs .. my I add my 2 cent worth .. try some large step up on the step w/six layers underneath it .. that is really THE best for shaping up the legs and butt ... I think doing a LOT of reps to exhaustion along w/running and plyo work will do the trick!! Works wonders for me :D

also try mega rep NO weighted lunges, squats, reverse lunges, and side lunges .. I am talking like 30 - 60 reps on each leg .. no weight ... just your body ... this is what TORE me up last night .. set my lower body ON FIRE ... of course .. the run may be out of the question after that kinda torcher!!

Keep it varied w/lots of reps .... whatever you do .. it will lean those legs right on out!!!:D
 
Hi ladies,

I should've lifted weights today but haven't done anything! I'm also supposed to run 12 miles tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be over 100 degrees tomorrow-and it is today too!

Actually, I've been busy filing and cleaning out/shredding old stuff from the file cabinet.

DH got the fountain back up, all that's left is painting the wall and I can do that tomorrow. I will try to take a picture and upload it to my picturetrail.

Wendy-Nice review for plyo legs. I love plyo work-except for the killer BBC legs!! I do like it, it's just really hard!

Laura-I wish I had a pool. I'm going to show DH the picture of your backyard and pool. Sounds like you and SIL will have fun time this weekend.

Hello girls

I'm sitting here sipping on a CAB. DH had a horrible day at work and lost his cell phone to boot.:mad: So, I don't wanna hang around him. *lol* So I put the dog on him...hopefully she'll chill him out a bit.

I got home after getting my desk cleared off and did CTX upper body. It's so hard to do shoulders after chest on that workout! I use my shoulder muscles a lot on pushups, so I'm half fried when I start in on the shoulders and can't do the full weight that Cathe uses. I'm sore already!! I'm not sure what w/o I will do tomorrow but am kicking around maybe BBC legs.:eek:

Laura - You can keep you weather!!:p Hot & humid for 6 weeks??? Aren't you ready for a vacation in Alaska?? If not, it's ALL good to have a pool and veg out!

Low weight and lots o' reps eh? Add in there some low pulse lunges and ug! I hope Cathe doesn't kill us with those on the RT.

Wendy - Your new plyo idea sounds neat. Keep us posted on how that's working out. I could use some leaning out on the lower body. That's where I carry all my extra.....
OK - I NEED to hear the details on One on One. Were there any NEW exercises in there or were they all the ones from the X?

Diana - Can you possibly run on the TM? 12 miles in 100 degree heat could be dangerous as heck....ug!
The fountain sounds so cool. I'd love to see the pics when it's done.

Girls....I've got so much crap to do this weekend. I want to just sit and chill but I HAVE to pack and clean! There will be some chill time in there though!!! My countertop is overflowing with stuff and my basement is piling up with stuff too. I swear it never ends!

Hmmm - should get off the puter and do something about that. *lol* Nah! Not tonight. Cam is over at Gmas swimming with his cousin and DH and Cody will be off to a tractor pull tomorrow so it will be me and Maggs. I'm in dire need of some alone time. Chat with ya all tomorrow....

Diana: ITA that BBC legs is KILLER! Good luck with your run tmrw. I am goin' out early for a 7 miler. I guess it doesn't compare to what you are going to be doing. You'll do great though!

Ang: I will definately give you a run down of Plyo legs tmrw...No time tonight though. Please remind me tmrw though as my memory is like a sieve at times and I'll likely forget! LOL The moves are the same or similar to plyo X and/or P90Masters but he puts spins on alot of them to freshen them up. It's a very no frills work out. Nothing "rehearsed" about it and he talks ALOT! LOL
