My internal alarm clock woke me up usual weekday time, and I figured I'd just stay up since I want to get out there early this morning, anyway.

Angie :: Sorry about the unexpected company...I was crabby, too, yesterday, and I do blame it on the heat...Dexter is a series on Showtime (I understand CBS is running a cleaned-up version, too) starring Michael C. Hall, who was in HBO's Six Feet Under. He plays Dexter, a forensic specialist who also happens to be a serial killer. It's twisted but funny. I haven't been this into a TV show in YEARS. My hairstylist got me hooked on it, and I'm watching the first two seasons On Demand...It's OK--I enabled myself on not doing my schoolwork. :7 It means today's gonna be ugly, but I'll just have to suck it up...Nope, I wouldn't say you are selfish at all. Given her negative attitude, I think it's GREAT to spend the time with her as you do. Personally, I avoid folks like that, too. Negativity is just toxic, and it has a way of spreading. Even on these boards sometimes it seems people can't stop kvetching...I'll begin the school year as though I'm an advanced candidate. There are certain requirements about the student work that's collected, so I'll start early to give myself lots of choices. Then when the scores come back, I'll have to analyze them to see which portfolio entries and/or which assessment center exercises I should attempt to re-do. There is a fee for retaking the NBs, so you have to be selective about what you submit.

Diana :: Was thinking of you yesterday. How did the grad party go? Will you get a chance to relax today?

Cathy: One on One with Tony is due to be released at the beginning of July. It's a subscription plan for one year where you get 1 vid per month where Tony focuses on something differernt with every work out. I heard plyo legs will be the first work out to be released. I think you might have the option to be able to order separately only the vids you want as well because it sounded like if you subscribed then you got a bonuse 13th work out as well. Why would they offer that if the subscription was the only way to go? Offering them singley is a good idea. Lots of folks may not like the subscription idea, ya know? I'm all over it though!;) Anything to get some alone time with Tony!:9 ;) :7

Sorry about the unexpected and not well-liked company. That stinks. Why do people do that? In the age of the cell phone, they could have easily called first if they were in the area. People just don't think. x(

Yowzas--77 degrees at 6 am. Methinks I have to run even EARLIER next week. That one spanked me! I managed a 10 mi run/walk, but boy, was it ever tough. Good to have to fight for it now & then. Will enjoy a nice, refreshing shower now and then a long stretch.

Wendy :: uh, yeah, you might have a problem. ;) :7 *lol*

Cathy: Good job on that run! You deserve some kick back time in the A/C now. :) I remember training for my first HM in the heat of the summer. YIKES, it was tough but I'll tell ya for some reason the cold slows me down more. Strange, I know!;)
Resistance is futile is my motto for shopping in general! LOL
 
Oh yeah, the air feels heavenly. Am about to hit the road, though. Heading up to PA to visit my aunt in the cemetery. I don't remember much of my HM training, though I'm sure some of it was in the summer heat. I do know, though, I was in better shape then, so some of the struggle now is to be expected.

Good Morning Ladies,

Zach's grad party was a success!! The weather was in the mid 70's to low 80's-just perfect. The cleanup is even all done, except for loading the tables & chairs into DH's truck. I'll be doing a little running around returning all the borrowed stuff.

I got to spend the day with my cousin which was very nice. We thought we would get to spend time with her DH to when he came to pick her up. Apparently another couple was hitching a ride back to Wyoming with them so we only chatted with him for about 15 minutes. It was nice to see them if only for a short time.

I never did get a workout in on Friday or yesterday. This next week is a recovery week, but I'm going to try out my new weight workouts. I have Amy Bento's All Pump Extreme and Slo-Mo to try out. I haven't previewed Slo Mo, but did preview APX. I'm going to start with APX, hopefully later today.

Cathy-Congratulations on becoming an "Advanced Candidate"!! I'm sure you're relieved to have that exam behind you. I can't believe you have more essays to write. Good job getting that 10 miler in this morning. Amanda and I have been using the website you sent to map out our runs.

Wendy-I can't believe Joey will be starting preschool. Yes, the forms and necessary attachments are daunting. I just filled out a packet of forms, copy of physical, immunizations etc. for Jerod's summer camp. I'm sure when the time is right you'll update your resume (with your successful clients as references) and send them out. I doubt you'll have any trouble finding a job. Have you considered just doing private PT work while Joey is in school?

Angie-How is the garage sale? Is it today? Hope you sell everything. We've only had a couple of garage sales, each netting us about $200. We usually just donate to charity or give to our friends & family. Tell Cody Congratulations on his school awards! When are you trying out your new CC's?

Laura-way to suck it up in a class without AC! I struggle in the heat which is why I have to run early in the day, or after work. Congrats on your raise!! Now you can put that extra in savings so you can get back to vegas sooner!

I need to take care of laundry and get my butt outside and load up the tables, chairs & crockpots before it gets too hot out there.

Hey Girls.

I'm about to go do my work out but I figured I'd pop in here quickly first.

Diana: Glad the party was a screaming success! So happy everything went smoothly for you. :) I ultimately want to PT out of my home but right now I do not have the space to do so. I am not comfortable going into others homes unless I know them plus with the cost of gas I'd have to charge a ridiculous amount of money to cover it. I also do not want to have to lug equipment around. For now I will have to get a training job in a gym but when we buy a new house, one of the requirements is that it have a space large enough for me not only to work out in myself but also to be able to train efficiently. :)

I'm back.

I did a mish-mosh work out this afternoon. Tried a few segments of Strike Zone. I have a feeling it's gonna end up on Ebay one of these months! I was sooo not crazy about it. Oh well. :-(

Hey cabbers

I was getting ready to post this morning and I got the call from Cody that he was ready to come home. Then DH decided since we had to go halfway to town to pick him up that we might as well go to town and do some shopping. He needed yard stuff and I needed to pick some things up for out trip next weekend. So, after shopping and lunch I'm just now getting back. Dang! The days already almost over.:(

Cathy - Ah yes, I vaguely remember the commercials of dexter on CBS now. I never have seen it though. I don't get Showtime. :(
So the NB load isn't off your back?? Dern it....thought you would not have to deal with that again for a while.
Great job on that 10 miler. We're getting rained on here today but it is much cooler than yesterday. Hope this relief is on your way.

Wendy - The company last night actually did call before they showed up. They gave us about a 10 minute warning.x( I guess it really wasn't that bad, I was just crabby and so not in the mood for it.
It will be interesting to see how the one on one program ends up. I'll have to take a peek at the pricing and the workouts and how they have it set up before I decide. But, they kinda do look like the X workouts, which is appealing to me. They kind of look like what I was expecting the X+ to be.
Did you go on another shopping spree??

Diana - Wow! You have been a busy girl. So glad to hear everything worked out fine. Do you have a ton of food left over? Any cake?:9 :p
No, our garage sale isn't for another 3 weeks. I was just getting ready for it on Friday b/c we are booked up for the next couple of weeks and knew I wouldn't have time to do it later. I did go to a couple of garage sales yesterday though, which is something I don't normally do, but found some good bargains.
My new CC's should be here Weds or Thrus. Sean emailed me and told me he would send them out first thing on Monday. He is so cool! I added a note on my order asking if there was any way that they would consider offering PP on a CD format. He just burned one off for me and said he already included it in my order.:) He said just go ahead and make the donation to the foundation when it was convenient for me. Can you believe that? The trust he shows in his customers is amazing. So, I went to the site and downloaded the MP3 version after paying on the choose living site. I can't wait for the new CD's but I doubt I'll have time to do any of them before leaving for the race.:(

Nope, no recent shopping spree...just have this collection of never or sparsely used work outs sitting on my shelf yet I continue to buy anything else that sparks my interest and add it to the ever growing pile! LOL

Angie :: IA, the day has blitzed by...I guess you'd lose some of the fun with the CBS version, but I highly recommend it. Know you're not much of a TV person, but it's worth it. I just picked up season one from Target today. :) No, no--you're absolutely right--the NB load is off my back now. I don't have to think about it again until the fall. I think it is supposed to be hot all week.

DH and I were sitting here watching the race and I started getting antsy....like I should be doing something. But, it was raining outside so I couldn't pack the trailer. So, I thought I'd go and tackle CST and ARX. I feel pretty accomplished getting that done on my rest day.:) I thought I'd better start my w/o week early since I will have 3 days off at the end of the week.:eek: So, if all goes as planned, I'll only miss kenpo and start the following weeks workouts a day late. With all the walking we will be doing I don't think missing kenpo will be too bad.

Wendy - HA! - me too nice???:eek: I don't generally get blamed for that! LOL DH answered the phone, (I was just gonna let it ring) and yes, HE is very much the NICE guy. We got the good cop, bad cop routine down to a T.:7

Hope the cemetary trip wasn't too sad for you. I have to confess that I'm not a cemetary visitor. I wouldn't even know where to find some of the grave sites of my grandparents. They are all buried 2 hours away from me now anyways, but I know I wouldn't go there even if they weren't. MIL got mad last week b/c her sister wouldn't go with her to their dads site and spruce things up. People just deal with things differently I guess. Now, it might be different for me if my parents, sister, or immediate family had graves. But, THANKFULLY, I haven't had to find that out yet.
I always have the TV on, but I don't always pay much attention. I like LOST, but I get lost a lot b/c I'm on the computer while I sit in front of the tube. *lol* That show requires you to pay attention.
No relief from the weather eh? So, are you planning on running in the heat again this week? Can you manage an early morning run before work? Running in the heat and humidity is definitely butt kickin!

OMG you guys....I've been emailing Sean for the past 2 days and he is too funny. He was so sweet to me and I called him a "righteous dude" from the Ferris Beuler movie. He emailed me back and said I was giving away my age and that it reminded him of the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. LOL! He said he'd have to get that movie and watch it again so he could get the full gist of my compliment. I am so crackin' up laughing! Now, why couldn't Sean have an RT?:7 }( Although, I don't think DH would let me go to that one.;( :p Anyways I'm sooooo stoked to get Press Play along with 7, 8, and pump. But, I won't have time to do them before I leave. ;(
