Hi ladies, whatcha up to?

I have not worked out in 3 or 4 days! I haven't gone this long in a really long time. I've been tired and a little sick, and my kiddo is sick and extremely cranky and clingy, and the hubs is out of town (perfect timing), so at the end of the day when I normally work out, I am beat. I fell asleep at 8 pm last night...ha ha - so lazy! I also think this drastic change in diet to no animal products is stressing my body, but I've read it will get better and I'll start feeling great. We shall see.

I will get back to it tonight...trying to decide which workout to do. My husband is bringing P90X back with him on Wednesday, so I am excited to start that!

Eating today is going pretty good, so far I've had some recipes from the Thrive Diet book I bought - banana pear ginger cereal (you cut up a pear, a banana, add some grated ginger, a few almonds, flaxseed, and hemp protein, and eat w/almond milk - this was really good!) and an energy bar. Think I'll have a salad for lunch and try some tempeh with it. I bought some and am nervous about eating it...looks really weird. : )

Hi...I started a thread earlier today so i will copy and paste it here:

Good Morning!

I hope you guys don't mind me starting the thread:)

Today is a step workout and some abb work. I think i have finally controlled my diet. Its weird but its almost like i have to be in a mental 'zone' when it comes to eating healthy,if i can't get my mind focused on it...anything will distract me into eating junk food. My goal this week is to focus on eating healthy all week until my cheat meal day, saturday. Im running in a 5k this saturday,my first one...im very excited!

How is everyone today? What workouts are you guys doing?

bbl

Its now 4:35 in the afternoon and my DH wants supper:rolleyes:, i made it and ive got my portion in the fridge until its time for me to eat:rolleyes: there is no way i could eat now and be full for the rest of the day, i will eat a snack about 8 or so but its usually popcorn or something around 100cals.

I finished my workout earlier today, did a step workout and some core work. burned 400 calories on the dot,i was pleased with that:).

workoutoholic-Im so sorry you've been sick the last couple of days:( Im glad to hear you are feeling better. High fives on starting P90X,thats awesome! Im hope your little one is feeling better soon!

Hey to everybody that follows!

Amelia, so sorry I missed your first thread! This board moves so fast that if you don't look fast things move way back. : ) Thanks for the well wishes, and can't wait to hear about how your 5K goes.

Good job getting your mind right. That is totally the key!

Good afternoon!

I always miss this thread. Get too busy and then boom, it's another week.

Well, was planning on getting the calories down and stuff today, but ran out of time. So sometime this week. I'll just keep playing it by ear in the meantime.

Started STS today, My arms are a bit fried, but a good fried. Lots of equipment and a bit faster on the reps than I'm used to with CLX, but I'll get used to it.

Have a great rest of the day. Glad to see everyone is feeling better and keeping in the right mental states.

Hey Rhea!

Just finished The Firm Total Muscle Shaping. It was good for a not-too-killer workout after my little hiatus. Pretty good abs at the end though!

Good Morning!

I haven't decided yet what im doing..bbl to report it. I know im doing a cardio coach and a weight workout.

Great jobs with your workouts guys! bbl

Hey guys, just finished a cardio premix from Drill Max. That really is one of my favorite workouts. Food today:

Cereal w/almond milk & banana
Black bean soup & salad, a few bites of bread
Plantains w/natural peanut butter, protein smoothie, salad

My husband comes back tomorrow - I've almost made it through my week of single parenting! : )

Morning:)

Workoutoholic-Great news about your DH coming home,i couldn't imagine having to be a single parent for any length of time:confused:...Awesom job with your workout and meals yesterday!

I plan on doing a lowerbody workout today...probably L&G,since it seems to completely exhaust me:eek:. Im debating on doing a cardio. Maybe a short cardio coach...

Yesterday i ended up doing a run on the treadmill then i did the All Upperbody premix on 4DS..burned 730cals:)

Good evening!

Yesterday was nice  and long at work and then I had to go play Bunco in the evening. So it was a rest day for me. Today I did Disc 2, wow what a workout for the back and triceps. Had to skip all the chin ups though since I have no way of doing them.

Eating is pretty good. I know I'm going to be bad and have some wine and some dark chocolate tonight.

Glad your DH is coming home soon workaholic! It is tough being a single mom, even if for a short while.

Well, gotta run. Talk to you later.

Good Morning

Wow,this week is going by so slowly it seems..

Yesterday was L&G's, today is a short cardio. Tommorrow is a rest day before my 5K on saturday
My eating has been great since sunday...no change on the scale....i don't care, that scale is only one way of measure;) i do sometimes wonder if im eating too much or not enough calories? According to BFFM im suppose to eat around 2000 cals a day to lose 1lb a week....,that seems like an awful lot. Im eating 1700 right now,and the scale just isn't budging.:(

Would anybody here mind calculating my calories? I could use a second opinion on it:). Im 5'3 180lbs and i workout 6days a week. I consider myself an endo with meso tendencies. TIA Im keeping my macro's at 45% carbs,30% fat and 25% protein.

Hi Guys,

I can't believe I missed the new thread for so long! I was wondering why nobody was posting.... I guess I wasn't watching closely enough!

workoutaholic, how did you like that tempeh? I only just discovered it a couple of weeks ago myself! I love that stuff? How about you?
Tell me more about that new cook book you are using!

Amelia, so sorry to hear your scale isn't budging! That can be frustrating no matter how many times you remind youself that weight is not the only way to measure progress.... I have to admit, I am sometimes a bit confused on the calories myself. I feel like my mainenance meals are too high in calories, and am tempted to cut back, but then decide to stay with it since it's a new approach and I want to give it a chance to work. But my progress since starting has been very slow, it has been progress, mind you , but slow progress. I'm not losing a pound a week, but then I'd rather loose it slow than fast only to gain it back. Progress being slow forces me to really stay on the clean wagon and portion control and the longer i do that the more likely it will become a lifelong habit, which is what I'm hoping for!

I'm on my active recovery week from meso 1. Starting meso 2 on Monday. Rhea, don't you just love sts? I got so sore (I'm doing each week twice, the first week of each week was really tough on my legs, I recommend the epsom salt soak!);)
I hear the doms on meso 2 are even worse, so I'm prepared....

Happy Easter, everyone!

Cendrine-I think i will give BFFM's calorie calculations a try too...Have a great workout!

Here is a copy and paste about my race this morning

I just finished the race...my time was 37:30, not bad. My goal was to do my best and thats what I did! I came in 2nd in my age group,im proud of that. I got a little medal, shirt and hat...pretty cool.
It was a great experience!

My first mile was done in 11:15,that was my personal best so far. Im not sure about the second and third mile because i was too focused on keeping my breath steady:confused:. MAN, i didn't know there were so many hills, i was huffing and puffing up those things.

I ALMOST turned off my alarm clock this morning and said...ta' heck with it, Im glad i didn't :) But no more races on days im off work and i have no reason to get out of bed at 6am ;).

Ameila, way to go on your race! That is awesome! But for me, this is exactly why I don't do races, I don't need a self imposed reason to have to get up when I don't have to....

All the more power to you for doing it anyway!

Cendrine-After i sent the money in to pre-register for the race i thought "omg, i don't have to work that day...no reason to get out of bed:mad:". I think i will look for races in the evenings. There is a race in may that is on a tuesday evening at 6:30 not too far from my house. I may try for that one. :)

Hey to everybody:)weve been taking it easy today. No workout for me today,im still kinda tired for some reason. DH and I had a couple of drinks last night, thats probably why.

Were going over to my MIL's today for east dinner and the kids are hunting eggs. Were watching the game right now...

Hi ladies, hope you had a great Easter!

Checking in with P90X Cardio X. It wasn't harder than Cathe, but it had me workin'. It reminded me a lot of CLX's cardio's.

Food was pretty good today...no Easter candy b/c my little guy is not quite 2 yet and it seems like he is still too likely to choke on a lot of that stuff (so didn't buy any). We went to an Easter festival yesterday and did a little Easter egg hunt in our back yard. : )

Amelia, good job on your race! Do you know your body fat percentage? I have calculations so that I just put in weight, body fat percentage, and it comes up with the numbers.

Cendrine, I liked the tempeh! I found some recipes in one of my cookbooks and I'm going to try it again.

Goodnight!
