Morning BB's,

Today will be PS Legs Standing and a 30 min Interval Run.

So glad that I only have to work three days this week. I'm looking forward to the weekend. :D

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good morning Laurie!

We went a little nuts this weekend and decorated for X-mas around here. We didn't put up the tree, but I have all my snowmen out everywhere :)
I am taking a little break from Cathe and doing some of my old Firms for awhile....just to change things up. Last night I did Volume 2 (I know a REAL OLD ONE....I think it was made in the 80's) but I still like that workout. I'm not sure what is on for tonight yet. I'm just going to decide when it is time and see which one looks like fun for the night!
Hope you all have a wonderful SHORT week! I'm getting ready to eat lots of Turkey :) I'm going to my moms for Thanksgiving, and then to my MIL on Friday for ANOTHER diner. YIKES!

Good morning,

I'm taking a rest day today. One of my knees has been acting up; when I ran yesterday, it was twingy much of the time.

I'm working only two days this week! Yay! And I have just one class this week too: biology tonight, with exam and lab, of course :)

Robin, I would have decorated my house already if I were the only one living there. I'm excited about the holidays this year, for some reason. But my boyfriend's birthday is Dec. 6, so we always wait for anything Christmasy until after his birthday. I love getting out my Christmas decorations!

Take care,

Ellen

Hi BBs,

This morning was 30 min incline walk and PP. My foot was still acting up this weekend so am trying to watch that. So frustrating!

I am also glad it's a shorter week. I have to work Friday but am off Thurs, Sat and Sun so that's better than nothing!

Just an extra vent....I hit a deer with my car Saturday night! Luckily, it just sort of scraped the front of my car and the only damage is to the front grill and the hood is a bit crumpled. It is still driveable but will need to be fixed. Could have been much worse I think! Please, everyone watch out for deer, they are probably spooked and on the run with hunting going on!

That's all for now. Everyone work out hard this week to make room for all the turkey!

Hi guys! I didn't have to go to the office today because it's such a short week, so I remembered to check in!

I am supposed to be starting Cathe's November rotation today, but I am having a REALLY hard time finding the motivation for KPC. This workout has a high dread factor for me for some reason-I think because when I first got it I did it SO much that I got sick of it.

Laurie-enjoy the short week. I got lucky this year; we are closed on Wednesday, too!

Robin-I don't have decorations up, but I am pretty much done with my shopping and card-addressing. Yay! I decided that this year I am NOT fighting hideous crowds, even if it means I spent a little more. Not worth the headache. LOL @ Volume 2. I got rid of the originals; I just can't take the old-fashionedness of them, not to mention the porno way they breathe lol.

Ellen-hope that knee is better tomorrow! I have quite a tree dilemma this year. In years past I always had someone to help me get a real tree. We actually went and cut our own. My (not-so)DS doesn't want to do the cutting and I can't really do it. I decided I'm going to finally relent and get a fake tree. I'm getting one of the ones with the lights you don't have to take off-what a timesaver! However, I do NOT want to buy one now-I want to wait until the prices are slashed after christmas. So I may not even have a tree this year! My friend said DS might change his mind if his GF wants to help, so I'm going to ask her lol.

Thea-I'm glad your car isn't damaged too much and even more so that YOU are okay. Thanks for the reminder. I am always on the lookout out here in East Troy, since there is hunting going on around us.

Hopefully I'll find my motivation and do my workout soon. I'm down 8 lbs. after 2 weeks of low carb and hardly any exercise cuz of my ankle, so I know it will keep me going if I can back on the workout track.

Laurie - I'm off on Friday, too! Still trying to decide what to do with the kids that doesn't involve shopping or going to the movies since both places will be packed.

Robin - I still have Halloween decorations up! LOL Was going to swap out those with Thanksgiving ones last weekend but got distracted. Now it's like why bother. . .

Ellen - Have you tried wearing an elastic knee brace when you run? The extra support might be all you need. Disclaimer - I am not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV).

Thea - Thanks for the reminder. My brother-in-law hit a deer on his motorcycle a few years back. Thank goodness he was wearing his helmet or he'd be dead.

Jill - I know what you mean about the dread factor in KPC. Those last 2 combos are hard for me with all those power kicks. Kickmax has a higher dread factor for me though.

Here's how my weekend went: Saturday was Imax2 and a 2 mile walk. Sunday was a 40 min. jog and an afternoon nap;-) Today was Step Blast. Time allowing, I'll do Coremax #3 and Stretchmax #3 tonight.

Saw Goblet of Fire over the weekend and liked it a lot - best one so far. It surprised me how many times I found myself laughing - wasn't expecting that.

Have a good Monday everyone!

Sue

Hi BBs!
Just checking in to chat.

Robin - we put our lights up but will do the rest of the outside decorating this weekend. Not sure about inside. DH leaves for Brazil on Sunday. It was cold yesterday but this coming weekend looks colder. I was also thinking of my old Firms and thought I might do Vol 6 (my favorite) on Thursday since I have more time. I really feel this one in my legs esp inner thighs. Maybe cause I don't do it much.

Jill - Shopping is just about done too. But then I always think of other things when I see all the ads after THanksgiving. It is still more fun then because the pressure is off.

Thea - glad you are OK and the damage was relatively minor. I almost hit one last year about this time (my BD so easy to remember) and have been very careful ever since. Scarey how they are just suddenly there in front of you.

I am off on Friday too and looking forward to a 3 day work week and 4 day weekend. It should always be that way! Not sure if I will shop on Friday.

Sue - would the kids like to go ice skating or something like that?

Posting again, this has been a LONG day...

Thea, I'm glad you didn't have too much damage from the deer. Were you on back roads? I'm always paranoid about deer... my mom lives in Stoughton, and I take back roads to get there. I've seen only one live deer on that route though — last year on Christmas Eve my boyfriend and I were driving home with our dogs in the back seat, and I was watching the edges of the road because I'd just read a story in the paper that morning about all the deer that were out running, and right there, standing perfectly still under a street light on Highway MM was a deer! I almost thought I was imagining it, since it was late at night and I was tired. I stopped and honked my horn and it ran off. I'm glad you weren't hurt. It must have been scary!

I've thought about trying a knee brace, Sue; thanks for the suggestion. I've kind of been holding out, hoping that the pain would go away :) Great workouts this weekend for you!

Jill, I hope you find a Christmas tree you like!

Take care,

Ellen

Jill - you are TOO funny! Your line 'not to mention the porno way they breathe!' is SO true!!!!

Thea- Yikes! sorry to hear about the deer. They are all over the place right now. I'm glad you are ok.

Ellen - hopefully that knee will get better quickly.
