BFFM and pregnancy

Hello fellow BFFM burners,
I have a question for all of you. DH and I are trying to have a baby and I was wondering what to do once I get pregnant since I am currently doing the BFFM program and would like to stay on during pregnancy. What adjustment should I make?

Thanks for your input!

:) :)

Not an expert here, but I know you need about 200 calories more a day over your basic caloric intake. You are never supposed to "diet" when your pregnant. I, personally, think eating several small meals with a healthy lean protien, healthy carbs and fat while pregnant is a good thing. (Sure will help with heartburn! :) ) Of course you'll have to see what you feel like eating! ;-)

I would double check with your doctor to be on the safe side! Good luck to you! :) :)

BTW, I craved rootbeer floats, potato chips and macaroni and cheese with both pregnancies! LOL! :9

I am sure just increasing your calorie intake and sneaking in some naps will be fine (you'll be SHOCKED at how exhausting the first 12-14 weeks are...feels like you have pain killers in your system).

Anyway...BFFM is such a healthy eating plan, I am betting that it would be perfect to continue while pregnant! After delivery may be a different story if you are nursing. You need to avoid those veggies that cause gas because it will give baby gas...PAINFUL gas...not fun even a little! You will have to be a bit more selective if you plan to nurse.

I craved french toast, green apples w/salt, colby cheese with fresh raspberries and peanut butter banana sandwiches. Ho-Ho's went down like popcorn!
