Are WIMPS welcome at the Cathe Weekend?

I signed up for the weekend but now I'm afraid. I do *half* of what Cathe does and with *half* the weights *when* I'm feeling masochistic. I guess I should up my training. (Should be good motivation). But I'm wondering if any other wimps signed up or are you all Fitness and Strength Wonders?

Wendy

Oh gosh, absolutely not! You'll be FINE. It's a fun weekend. I don't think anyone is expecting great feats of strength and agility.:)

Well, if Wimps aren't welcome, then they are going to have to drag me out the door kicking and screaming. :D I lift about 1/2 - 3/4 of what Cathe lifts and get DOMS every time. I also need a 4" step for almost all the step workouts. So, you are not alone.

I am going to focus on really improving my endurance, strength and stamina during these next several weeks before the trip. I don't know how much improvement I'll see in that short time, but I'll do the best I can. And when the big weekend comes, I'm only concerned with having a great time and meeting new faces. :)

I have some of the same fears as you, but everyone here is so kind. Don't worry, you and I will poop out together.

Emily,

Maybe we can carry each other home! LOL! I have not been at this very long. I started late last summer then DH was transfered and that put it stop to everything for a while. We moved in Nov. right before the holidays and then I had health problems. Just started again this past month with working out regularly.

Sounds good to me! You lean on me, I'll lean on you. We'll be sweaty and sore together. LOL! :)

I have been working out to videos for a couple of years, but have only been doing Cathe for about a month and a half, so I am nowhere near my fitness goals yet. Cathe kicks my butt every single morning. I always wonder if I will ever be able to totally keep up with her (for both cardio, and weights). I can't even do pushups from my toes! (yet!) :p

Hi Wendy! Don't ever feel like your a wimp. Catheites should never express negative opinions about themselves. We're all strong. Just do what you can & forget the rest. The whole point is to meet everyone & have FUN FUN FUN!! That's what its all about. See you there!! Kathy:D

Can you just imagine what all of us will look like getting back on the planes from being with Cathe for the weekend!! Ha ha ha! We will be walking funny and sitting down in our seats very carefully. LOL!!:D

>Lets hope so, because I signed up! LOL!

Glad that I am not the ONLY one! ;) Don't worry b/c we are not all professional athletes - esp me!

I am SOOOOO happy that someone else was thinking what I was thinking!
But after reading all the replies I feel better--I think it will be great, so I won't stress out about being a cathe newbie. What do people wear to workout in?(I love working out at home--nobody can see me jump around but me--lol)I'm usually in a t-shirt or tank top and running shorts, hmmmm...., don't have any of those outfits I see on the dvd's. Any advice from you ladies that have been to previous road trips?

Fellow wimp right here and proud of it!

Won't have extra money....stretching it as it is.....so it looks like I'll be wearing the same grotty workout clothes on the trip as I do at home!

I'm planning on bringing a black felt tip marker for everyone to sign my souvenir Cathe Road Trip t-shirt. :)

Angie the Wimp :p

I thought about this post in my way home tonight - ARE WECRAZY!? We are doing Cathe workouts! Even if we are not doing every move or are modifying, these are TOUGH workouts!!!!!!!!!!!! NONE of Us are WIMPS!

"WIMP" here also! I usually do 1/3 of what Cathe does. The large crowd of this road trip gave me the courage to sign up. I would've been intimidated in a small group.

Me too-- I'm scared! I just signed up for the trip and am sitting here wondering, WHAT HAVE I DONE??? I am a solid intermediate and am finding Body Blast quite challenging. Oh, well, it will be good motivation to keep my training level up:D ! It's good to know I won't be totally alone. Since I am new to the forums, I am looking forward to meeting my fellow attendees!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the Cathe weekend. However, I am VERY glad (and a bit relieved! lol) to find out that there are so many Cathe fans here that are closer to my fitness level. ;) Being a Cathe "wimp" is something to be proud of in my opinion! If you- and I- can do ANY of Cathe's workout at ANY intensity I'd definately say that we ROCK!

I'm new to this forum, but have been exercising regularly for nearly 4 years. I've lost 80 pounds, and have 55 more to go! I first learned about Cathe on FitTV and was immediately fascinated. I own the Basic Step + Body Fusion DVD and have taped several workouts off FitTV. I'm about to do my first ever Cathe rotation and I'm excited, psyched and a bit scared all at the same time. }( :7 I'm glad that I'm not alone- I'm sure to need some motivation! :p

Connie :D

I absolutely love your Catheite philosophy! I'm going to write it on a Post It and stick in my bathroom! I need to see this and say it over and over and over again! Thank you! :)
