Anyone heard of "Inches-A-Weigh"?

Do any of you have an "Inches-A-Weigh" center in your neighborhood? Have a friend or relative who have gone to one? If so, have you heard good or bad things about it?

I realize that no one here at cathe.com has probably ever been to one. The target audience is older and/or overweight women. Certainly not women who enjoy lifting weights and appreciate a good sweat! My husband and I are considering opening one and while the plan sounds pretty good, I've never actually seen one and would like to know how they are perceived by the public. Thanks.

I haven't heard about "Inches-A-Weigh", but I've heard a ton about "Curves For Women", a storefront franchise operation that seems to be infiltrating every corner of the country. It promotes a 1/2-hour workout that includes 30-second cardio intervals with 30-second resistance stations on hydraulic machines. There is NO requirement for any of the employees, including the owners/managers, to be certified by any recognized certification board in exercise science, and indeed the requirements for CPR certification, which is a given at bona fide full-service fitness clubs, are slim. The franchise owners go through a 5-day training seminar by the "Curves For Women" corporate office, only one day of which is dedicated to exercise science.

If "Inches-A-Weigh" is similar to "Curves For Women", at least in terms of its lack of standards for hiring and employment, I don't have much time for it.
