Anyone bought music from ITunes for their ipod?

I started to sign up and chickened out. It sounds like a great deal, buy a song for 99 cents, but I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to get it into my Itunes library. One of the paragraphs says something about putting a CD in, I thought I could just buy it and it would go straight into my library on my computer?? Anyone done this?
I'm not computer smart and it's showing :-(

Hi Mary

I have bought songs from ITunes. You don't need a CD(I know you can burn the songs to a CD if you want but you don't have to). You download a song and it will go into your library and then just drag the song to your IPod.

I ditto what Sabrina said. I have downloaded dozens of songs from itunes, as well as whole albums..no problems.

Thanks SO much--I'd rather spend 99 cents a song then buy a CD and only use one or 2 songs off of it.

Is it pretty easy to do once I set up my account??
