Hi all,

I am recovering from being sick. Funny, it started with DH, the only one in the house NOT to get the flu shot. Thanks honey. Anyway, I am going to try to do some non-impact stuff tonight and get back on track tomorrow. I took yesterday and Sunday off and am feeling much better. Who knew resting when you are sick could actually help you to feel better?!

Hey Murphy, Sorry to hear that you are sick. Did the whole house get it? Or just you? I started Cathe's Oct rotation, Yesterday was disc 17 from Meso 2, my butt is actually aching today, not just my legs! Kind of nice in a sick sort of way. I am off work this week and am cleaning out all the kid's drawers. I think I would almost rather be at work! I can find so many excuses not to clean! Lisa, by the way, I am a nursing instructor, I teach the clinical portion. I don't think I could lecture, way better one on one! How is work? Getting any busier? Ronne, how are you? Still doing the kettlebells? I find I am to lazy to actually get dressed and drive somewhere to workout! Kathryn, how is life with you? I need to get to Walmart, one of the kids has a project due TOMORROW, that requires a glue gun. Have a good night. Mary
 
Hi All,

Today I took the plunge and tried isanity disc 1. It was okay. I did not go full throttle as they did, I could not. All I could think of was that this must be what one of Cathe's Imax dvd's is like. I can see why they call it insanity. I did feel good after completing it. I am trying to mix it in with Cathe's Oct rotation. Let us see how it goes.

Murphy, just you and me, huh? You bought Insanity? I would love to hear about it? It looks miserable (in a good way!) on the infomercial. Today was KPC, I'm glad it's done. Have to get the dog to the groomer's and hit another kid's room to purge the dressers. Have a goo day. Mary
 
Mary - funny, I was thinking the same thing about it being just you and me. I rented Insanity from Kinetic Flix (sp?). It used to be flickety fit but then they sold the company. I was itching for something new and I kept seeing the informercials. I did not want to buy anything because I alrady pre-ordered Cathe's Shock Cardio but I wondered about it. I only feel comfortable pre-ordering from Cathe and Tracie Long, they are my favorites. I am suspect of everyone else! :)
 
Murphy, maybe we smell?? Anyway, I was just over of VF (Video Fitness) there was post that Tracie Long will be starting her pre-sale, I think, on Oct 23. I think the price was around 65 for 4 dvd's. They will be released in Dec. Talk to ya later. Mary
 
Peeee--yeeewww...what is that smell? Are you all showering after your workouts? Just kidding. Can't believe it's Wed!!!!! I finished M1 on Sunday so doing the "rest" week and boy did I need it! my quads were so sore and they never get sore! I did CM#2 abs Mon...nothing Tues....and HIS cardio only Wed. Tomorrow I'm planning on 4ds kickbox cardio only....I can't do NOTHING for a whole week but I'm not doing weights and doing short cardios.

I got behind in internet stuff because my stupid ISP (COMCAST) had a major outage in our area Monday.....9 HRS!! and right in the middle of the workday, so I couldn't work and it was a cold rainy day so stuck in the house, so finally when I decided it wasn't ever coming back up and who cares if work is looking for me online I laid back and watched all my DVR shows with the cat snuggled up under my blankie and the dog under my feet. Then of course it was down during primetime shows so I have to catch up on those online...hulu.com....then of course when I don't have connectivity, I get LOTS OF WORK from work!!>!>!?!?! geez, couldn't win, so been playing catch up.

Murphy, are you CRAZY?!?!?!?! Insanity after being sick?!?!?!? I haven't seen much on them but saw one girls post about losing lots of inches...that would be sweet...is it worth the (pardon the pun) insanity? You'll have to let us know.

Mary, how is that OCt rotation going? That looks good...I'd do it but I'm in the middle of a full STS cycle.....but I'll have it on my future list.

Yes, I showered and perfumed so stick around. :) I am still insane and am okay with it. Those people are on a different playing level but it is a nice change of pace. Maybe I will be 1/2-way to their level by the time I am done!

Mary - Thanks for the info on Tracie Long. I did see it on her website and will probably (okay will) buy them during the pre-sale. I am really looking forward to the clips. I think hers are due out in December. I think they said Christmas time. I am kinda hoping that Cathe's are not out at the same time but then again I cannot wait to get my hands on Cathe's stuff either! :-0

Lisa - Are you going to take a break after this STS cycle or start-up again? My sister, who has my set, wants to do it again after she finishes M3. I said okay but then immediately kicked myself - ???? All the crying I have been doing about missing it and then I let her use them for another 3-4 months? I must really be insane!

Hi girls! Lisa, good to see you back! Just so ya know, I did shower and put the deoderant on, so all is good here! Today I did KCM cardio blast, step with the plyo in between each step routine. Fun and quick. Murphy, how was Insanity today? I thought about you when I was jumping with Kelly! I know you were jumping a lot harder and faster! Lisa, what a great excuse to sit on your couch and watch TV! What shows do you like to watch? With my DH gone most evenings, TV becomes my friend after the kids go to bed! Have a good night everyone! Hey girls....I did the cardio of 4ds KB today and then added on the abs.. My abs were still sore from doing CoreMax stab ball section on Monday...that one always gets my abs sore....is it just me?

Murphy, I can not do STS back to back. I need change, so I'll do some of the older videos and then hopefully start that Oct rotation that is STS undulating. I know it's so hard to say no to sisters. I don;t think I could part with my Cathe's for a second....I'd be worried I would want to do just the one I loaned. Has your sis seen any changes from doing STS?

Mary, I like to watch TOO MUCH TV. With the new fall season so many shows to watch, so little time. I'm a reality junkie (but only the ones on the major networks). Greys, Private Practice, criminal minds I really like the new show 'the good wife', mercy is pretty good too. I have Three rivers on the dvr but haven't watched it yet. I just finished the 2 new House from the new season and will have to watch the third online on hulu.com since my cable was out.

It's cold and rainy here again today, so no walk for maddy, poor baby, but I'm not freezing and getting wet. I'm not ready for winter!?!?!?!?! Does it have to come??!?!?!??!??

Yes, I am still crazy - or doing insanity I should say. The more I do it the more likely I would not buy it. It is not bad, just too much for me to do. I am definetly feeling it and if I eat right, I expect to see results. It is just too hard core for me. It is like doing plyo legs but in reverse - long (enough) segemetns of "you want me to do what? are you crazy" with 30 second rest/water breaks. Which by the way are right on time. He is a good instructor and if you are into that sort of program it is phenomanal - it is just not for me. I am still going to finish the program - modified of course!

Hey all. I ran today...been a while since I"ve done that, and it shows. I was dying and I started a blister so cut it short (yea, I was looking for a reason). But I feel sooooo good afterward so I MUST get back to running more...it's just I like Cathe's step so much, so many workouts to do, so little time and so hard to recover if you overdue it, ya know? That's why I'd tend to be like Murphy with the Insanity.

Hi Ronne! I watch Ugly Betty, has that new season started??!?!?!? Eek, don't tell me I didn't get my DVR programmed for it?!?? I had to get comcast to give me a new one so I lost all my settings....they wanted more $ for the HD one they gave us yrs ago and we don't even have HD and now they wanted to start charging us extra. I'm not very happy with Comcast lately but there is no other option here.

Hey you fab 40s! I was too lazy to start a new thread and didn't know why it mattered. :eek: So, I'm on Meso 2 now....those tri-set legs, OMG, I can barely sit on the toilet! I have DOMS on almost every inch of my body. I did C/S/T on Sat, Legs on Sun, then today I did Body Max 2 ultimate Cardio PM. I can barely move now!

I downloaded 4 CATHE workouts. It was cool (but slow). Then I burned them to DVDs since it's easy on my new MAC I just got.....now I have to wait until after STS to do them. I got some that I've wanted but didn't want to buy the whole packaged dvd set. For instance: I got leaner legs and CTX upper body, and then I got gauntlet and viper.

That's it here I think.....hope everyone's week starts off well!

I am still insane. Tomorrow is the "recovery". The last recovery I did had my heartrate up! This "recovery" is 50 minutes long and I have no idea what to expect. When I send this back, I will do the STS portion of the October rotation until I get the next set of dvd's in. I must admit, the second time around was not as bad as the first and the time does fly.

Lisa - I thought about downloading but am such a chicken. Plus, it did not even occur to me to burn them. I sill think I will rent some first just to make sure. I was thinking about the gauntlet and viper but am afraid I won't be able to do them. Well, now that I think about it, there are a lot of Cathe's I could not do right away but now - well, can do more. :) Okay, one day in the future I think I will download a workout.

Lisa - sounds like you're really working it at the moment! I just looked up that premix you did - that is a killer! :confused: And after all those STS workouts as well. Wow! I'm impressed.

Murph - still insane then? I wish I could rent DVDs like that. We have a similar thing here in the UK but there are no fitness DVDs on there. It's such a great way to try things out.

Well, I've been off the workouts since last Friday. I felt pretty ropey over the weekend and DD was flat out ill so I just haven't done anything. I'm back to kettlebells tonight and hoping to get some cardio in tomorrow.
I'm definitely tempted by the downloads - what a great idea. I might do what you've done, Lisa and just get a couple to start off with. I'm looking at Pure Strength and it's only $8 per segment which is so cheap! I still want my DVDs for the things I really like though!

today I did only the biceps portion of M2 and stab abs from BG. When pressed for time, these M2 discs can be broke up into body parts since she does all of one body part before moving onto the next....nice!

Ronne, I thought about the PS too, who knows maybe in the future. I would never had known that I could burn them to DVD except that someone posted that they did it on their MAC and I just got a MAC --- so glad I got the MAC now! As far as the Premix I did the other day, boy was my face RED afterwards and it's cool here (60 in the house in the mornings). I really pushed it.

Murphy, I'm wondering if I can do viper or gauntlet too, I guess the names have always intrigued me. At the price I figured I'd see how they were. Now I'm bummed that I have to wait until the end of my STS rotation. Some people would probably still add them in, but my body is so tired and sore as it is, there is no way.

Mary, where are you? Did I confuse you too by not starting another thread?

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! Have just been busy with work and house stuff, haven't gotten here! Lisa, pretty cool about the downloading, I am just a chicken, not very technologically inclined, Definetly get the viper and the gauntlet, they are very fun, I would personally start out with the gauntlet tho, much more of a fun factor! I want to try Leaner Legs, I don't know how to burn discs, tho, I would have to do it watchng the laptop. Today is cardio of some sort, have to figure out what I want or feel like doing. Yesterday did disc 31, was glad I could still lift so heavy, (for me!) I loved those breaks. Murphy, are you still enjoying Insanity? I have been mulling it over in my head! Ronne, hope that you are feeling better. Do you like the kettlebells? Welll, have to get to my w/o before the kids get home. Hi to all! Mary
 
Hi All,

I overslept this morning and really did not want to get up but I did. I did the cardio portion of 4DS KB. It felt good - when it was over. :) so, tomorrow I need to do the insanity recovery and then on to STS portion of this month's rotation. I am actually looking forward to a break from all the jumping and running.

Ronne/Lisa - I was thinking the same thing that Ronne said about the workouts you have been doing. Yours workouts seemed more insane than what I was doing - am mine are called Insanity! I don't know how you could move anything. If it were me, I am sure it would have hurt to blink. :)

I didn't want to get up this morning either! The alarm went off I crawled back into bed (defeats the purpose of putting it across the room), but then my neck started hurting (residual and permanent problems from a car accident when I was 5), so I got up but wasn't moving fast, mainly because I knew it'd be another boring day at work. So, I finally got on the treadmill and ran for 35 min with cardio coach 8....I missed Coach Sean and that wonderful voice.

Ronne, how's the kettlebells? I haven't done them in a long while....nice to change things up. Feeling better? I've been a bit under the weather too but not bad enough to not keep up with my workouts, thank goodness.

Mary, weren't you doing the kettlebells at some point? I wouldn't know how to burn discs either but this Mac makes it effortless.

Murphy, I guess I haven't really had any rest days because I figure there will be an unplanned one any time...in fact almost happened this morning but decided to 'just do it' since there was nothing at work waiting for me.
