Ladies,

I'm new to the forums and need your help/advice. What do you guys do to stay motivated day after day. Some weeks I do so good with my workouts and then other weeks I don't have any motivation or desire to exercise. I get frustrated cause I work so hard and I don't see any muscles. I do cardio 3x a week M/W/F for 20 minutes early in the morning on an empty stomach, and then Intensity Series(the only Cathe's videos I own) when I come home from work in the afternoon around 3pm. T/Th I do Interval Training for 35min. Saturdays I do The Firm and Sundays just 20min. Pilates or Yoga. What do you guys think? What am I doing wrong?
I also take Nitro Tech and Cell Tech.
I'm only 5'2 and weigh 108, I would like to build more muscle and loose the fat around my waist. Please help!

Hello there.

I just wanted to say that my motivation when I am all comfy on my couch and don't want to get up off my dead you know what, LOL, to work out is to think of how GREAT I feel when the work out is completed. Exercising makes me feel AWESOME afterwards and that is what I use to make me do it on days when I am just not in the mood!:D

I'll leave the critique of your exercise rotation up to one of the gals here who is better suited for that job! :)

Have a great work out!

ditto what Wendy said. Ya just gotta make yourself get started....then you feel great afterwards.

I have the same problem with muscle mass/definition. I'm 5'5" and was weighing 114 now I'm up to 117. I'm sure the increase has been in muscle as my waistline has gotten smaller. I have been trying to use the heaviest possible weights when doing Cathe's weight videos and hitting the gym for some machine work. Hope that helps.:) :)

My motivation is this forum and looking in the mirror. Also looking at my 3 walk-in closets of clothes that don't fit!!!!

I've worked out for so many years it isn't a problem as it's like brushing my teeth - just a part of my day! But, I think turning on FitTV or looking at a fitness magazine, or just sticking in one Cathe's tapes would be enough to get me going!

This is probably no help to you but my motivation is my age. I joke about it, but truly in my mind it's "now or never"..."last chance".

Which is why it scares me that I can't get DH to work out, even mildly.

Thank you for all your words of encouragement and when I am feeling like I don't want to workout I will be e-mailing you gals back for some motivation. I will push away negative thoughts(I mean you are what you think you are) and believe that I'm also worth of a tone and muscular body.
