A Compliment for Cathe

No question here, Cathe, just a nice compliment you received from my daughter. She is a newbie to your tapes/workouts, but is permanently hooked. We were talking on the phone last night (she's in Oklahoma, I'm in Chicago) and she remarked on how "soothing" your voice is to listen to while working out. Have you ever gotten a comment about THAT before? LOL...Anyway, my daughter loves the tone of your voice, she says, because you speak clearly, you're funny, you're struggling with everyone else, and you don't do the "RaRa" thing...you all know what I mean....I don't want to name names, but there is a very popular video instructor out there who falls into this description...OK, her intitials are D.A....teehee.
So, there you have it, a compliment on your voice, Cathe!
Gee...maybe that soothing sound comes from all those sleepless nights with little Eric, hmmmmm???
Hugs,

Hi Lynn! Funny that you mention this because I actually have been told this over the years (oh gosh, lets hope I don't put people to sleep;-)).

Ironically though, when I hear my voice in person I think I sound normal, but when we are editing the videos and I hear myself from the outside, I am baffled as to why it sounds as if I am nasally.

In any case, thank you for the compliment and I'm thrilled that you and your daughter share such a healthy bond. I love to hear of this, its great. My best to the two of you! Take Care!

Haha...
NEVER FEAR, Cathe! That soothing voice of yours along with those kick-butt workouts won't ever put anyone to sleep. I dare them to try!! LOL
I think it just means that you are pleasant to listen to, your cues are clear, concise and delivered in a way that is neither patronizing or demeaning. I have to say, I love when you're sweatin' like the rest of us plebians and you sort of give that little giggle that sounds like you HOPE to God you'll be able to make it through one more rep.
I do have to say, the bond between me and my daughter is awesome. We used to workout together before she was married, often banging into each other during step workouts in our rather small family room. LOL
Now I have to settle for long phone conversations to and from Oklahoma. In fact, I left a message on her answering machine yesterday that I know you'll appreciate..."Did you do Cathe's kickbox today?" Sure enough, she had!
Thank heavens for 5 cents a minute long-distance!
Hugs,
Lynn Finn
