40's Week of Aug 1

New month, new week~ What is your fitness plan? Do you have a rotation planned or just winging it?

I've gone thru CTX series 3 times now and I feel like I can comfortably include it in my "go to" tool box. I think I will try the same with 4 Day Split. I will sprinkle bodyrock.tv workouts in as well as my walk/Jog/sprints on TKD + Barn days.

This weekend on Sat I did Leaner meaner Legs and walk Jog. Sun was 2 dance classes and a bodyrock 14 min HIIT w/o. (followed by a bellydance party, voot! but all caloric deficit was lost. : (

Hi all

I'm back, in body if not in spirit! Had a great weekend, even camping. Just enjoyed my first shower since Friday morning (yeuuucchh!!). TMI? Saw some great music, weather wasn't too bad, had a great time with friends, kids had loads to do - altogether a success.
The house is full of camping gear and other random stuff. Can't even think about working out yet! Probably get back into it on Weds. Won't be around tomorrow as DD and I are going to see a TV recording.

Good morning girls! We have air and it is amazing!, today did MMA boxing, yesterday did 40/20, but on the TM, got almost 3 mile in 29 min! Ronne, hope that you are feeling a little fresher today! I do hat unpacking after a trip! Jody, you have been a machine! Lisa, what were up to this weekend! Shereta, do you follow rotations? I'm not good at that. Murphy, how are you? Roxie, still hot by you? We went to the beach yesterday, beautiful day. Hope everyone has a good Mon., need to get to the shower. Mary

I am doing Fitness Freaks Dec 08 rotation this month started my morning with STS Med Ball abs and then tonite is 4DS Chest and Back and SJP step only.

Mary-105 with a heat index of 110 expected today and tomarrow. Glad to hear you have air again.

Jody-sounds like you have a good plan in place.
 
Hi everyone! Crazy weekend for me. You know how kids just love to wait until the last minute to inform you of something you need to act on? Yep, DS19 said, oh, I'm moving into my college apartment Aug 1st, WHAAAAAT? I was planning Aug 19th, I had nothing ready for him and to add to it, it seems his roommates are not contributing to common stuff and went so far as to say, let's use paper plates so we don't have to wash dishes. We already had a lot of stuff, you'd think they'd contribute, so I just didn't want my kid being unprepared so we went out Saturday to buy a microwave and dishes and other stuff he needs for himself (we are also already supplying all the other kitchen stuff, and couchs, and coffee table. I did workout though on Sat, and did a cardio workout that I can't remember right now :eek:, my quads and triceps had doms from JL R&C on friday. So was out shopping all day on Saturday. Then cuz I'm such a nice Mom, I felt bad that DS19 has no decent TV so thought we'd upgrade to a home theatre finally and give him the whooping big a$$ big screen (did not look forward to moving that 2 times a year) so we did manage to get it down in the basement (I'd been asking for DH to put it down their for my workout room, as soon as I tell him he can have it in his office, ah, THEN he figures he can get it down, men!). Sunday I didn't work out, we went and got the home theatre system (with DS22 help, we couldn't have done it without him), and I got a flat screen for DS19 from DS22 and got DS22 a bigger flat screen. Yep, I single handledly support the economy this weekend!

Then while I was cleaning all dust and debri (had to drill through the hardwood floor to drop speaker wires), something flew in my eye (had the fan going full blast as it was hot even with a/c), I rubbed it too much and now my eye feels like there is something in there even though I washed it out. I wonder if I scratched the eyeball? I did do Atheletic Step today, quads are still tired. I need to rest up for our hike on Wed up to the top of the 14er. DS19 is going with us.

Roxie, omg, it's been hot! We are now in 2nd place for longest streak of hot weather.

Shereta, I'm in CO. Since I've been back to work (for 2 yrs now), I always wing my workouts, I can't stick to a rotation. I have lost another pound, whoopee! and my short term goal is to lost at least one more before my 47th birthday (in 2 weeks)!

Ronne, ick, no shower all weekend? I took enough for both of us!

Well, I did not do too much today. I ate somethng that did not sit well with me and my stomach has not been right since. :-( I took off today and am feeling a bit better. I hope to be back to working out tomorrow. Speaking of rotations, I think I may have completed one or two in their entirety. I usually fall off the wagon during week two. It is only four weeks, you would think I could go another two more!? One of the days - or months.


Mary - glad to hear about the air.

Ronne - I am sure that shower feels real good. Glad you had a good time.

Lisa - thanks for getting us out of the recession. :)

Tonite I did 4DS Back & Chest and SJP step only. It hit 108 degrees here suppose to be hotter tomarrow.
 
Hey, Ladies. Today's workout was Imax3. I missed the last two cycles cause I fizzled out. I burned 663 calories in 49 min. I try to follow a rotation, but I'm known for changing them midstream.

For this month, Im definitely getting more treadmill and outside running in. I'll be running a 10k on Thanksgiving day, and I've got to get cracking on running more. I've got 8 running days planned mixed in with moderate to heavy weights, kickboxing and step. To be overweight, I sure have a lot of energy normally especially when I leave the oreos alone.

Ronne, sounds like it was a great vacation.

Lisa, adopt me, please. Congrats on the pound loss.

Murphy, hope your tummy feels better soon.

Roxie, I actually didn't get as hot today even though I think we got to 98, maybe in another day you will get this cool front I think we are getting (hope we are getting).

Shereta, lol, I like my sugar daddy, just wish he was a bit sweeter :)

Someone mentioned the didn't like HIS step portion, that's actually one of my favorites, now that I know the routine. Imax3, uh, not so much!

My eye is still bothering me, made appt with eye dr tomorrow at 7:30 am :eek: I think I may be getting better, hoping to cancel the appt after I wake up in the morning. I have a sweatband wrapped around my head covering my eye to keep it closed while the other is open to read or watch tv. When reading I have to wear my reading glasses over it, what a sight! (no pun intended) DH had to take a picture of my "fashion statement". I'm a dork, I know!
 
Ronne, glad you had fun on your trip. I used to camp a lot w/ my kids. Good times.

Lisa, 730 appt? good luck w/ that! A scratch on the eyeball can make you feel INSANE. Ugh!

Yesterday I did 4DS LIS but with such low intensity I can't even count it as a work out so it was a rest day. I'll prob make up for it today. Mondays seem to end up being rest days. That's ok, I can go with the flow. So today, 4DS LIS with enthusiasm and shoulders and core, maybe jog, too.

Tonite for me is suppose to be Step Blast but its suppose to be 110 degrees today so I won't be up for that one I am going to do KCM's TLC Boxing instead.

Lisa-that was me who said I didn't like that step workout.

Shereta-trying my hardest to stay indoors.

Jody-I will do LIS tomarrow along with shoulders.

I did PUB today, saving my lower body for the hike tomorrow. My eye seems a bit better so didn't go to eye dr especially since it's through all the rush hour traffic (I'm in North Denver area and eye dr in South Denver, the worst traffic route). So I think it's getting better. Yoshi cat peed by the TV we just moved down to DH's office, I watched her prepare herself to pee so what I think is she thinks she's in a box cuz she gets in a corner (in this case between TV and wall), DH has about had it with her and said after DS19 goes back to school let's put her to sleep. I wonder if she has kitty alzheimers or something. Whoops, there she goes, just ran smack into the wall. This is frustrating.

Jody, something is always better than nothing, don't beat yourself up so much.

Roxie, They say it's going to be cooler here today, we will break our 18 day streak of over 90 (set the 2nd highest record for that this year). If it does cool off, maybe it's heading your way.

Another work at home day for me, I used my eye as an excuse, and it's a good one, I look awful with my get up for helping keeping it closed with my made up eye patch. :)
 
I did 4DS LIS again and used two risers and had more energy, tho overall that is a pretty steady state w/o, don't you think? Shoulders, check, calves, check. I thinks I'll do HIS tomorrow.
 
hey, Ladies. Crazy busy at work. workout today was a shortened version of High Reps. School starts tomorrow so I'm sure I'll have another short post then.

I love all of 4DS. My fav cardio is the HIS/LIS step together. But, tomorrows a treadmill run for me.

Hi girls, I am having a crabby day today. No reason, just really crabby! I did 2 miles on the TM, then the upper body from the original BM. Lisa, hope your eye feels better! That hurts! Sherata, school starts all ready? Murphy, are you feeling better? Roxie, what w/o did you end up with? Ronne, how was the show taping? Jody, I have never been able to get HIS down, I do like LIS. Tonite I did KCM TLC Boxing helped to relieve some stress from work. It it 104 here today getting tired of the heat.

Mary-hope tomarrow is better.
 
2:30am, getting ready to head up to hike the 14er. gotta get up early to beat the weather (it also takes 2 hrs to get there). Got monsoon moisture moving in and rain is predicted by noon at the peak. I think we will get wet as long as no thunder/lightning. Hope it isn't too soggy with rain from yesterday. So the weather is less than ideal but at least if I don't make it we can blame the weather :) It's 3 miles to the top and hope to summit in 3.5 hrs. and want to be on the top before 11am. I hope I stay awake!
 
Wow, Lisa, this hike totally sounded like fun until you mentioned getting up at 230! Good luck, I hope you are having fun and half way up by now? Stay safe! Enjoy~ : D

Lisa - hope the hike goes well and you don't get too wet. Hope the weather doesn't spoil the views from the top either.

Mary - I bet you're enjoying the aircon now aren't you? Sounds like you've been getting the workouts in. Hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Shereta - I'm a 4DS fan as well. Love all the cardio on that series.

Roxie - I don't know how you're managing to keep the workouts up in that heat. I couldn't do it.

The TV show was fun yesterday. It's a kids programme with pranks, games and music. DD really enjoyed it. Today we are doing NOTHING (well, I've got washing, cleaning, work, etc. etc. to do) but you know what I mean. She's watching TV, playing on the Wii, just hanging out at home. Did MMA Boxing as that's a great workout for after a break. Sweated up a storm as we're low 80s here (and there is NO aircon in my house!).
