    Sciatica

    I started with a bad pain in my butt and down my leg - a little bit of yoga (and yoga only during that time) every day made the pain go away after about a week or two. Regular yoga practice keeps it away. For me it is the stretching.

    Yoga or pilates?

    I like and do both! Apart from good toning & other benefits you can get from both, I find pilates beneficial to my lower back a lot while yoga helps with my neck issues. Most of the mainstream Yoga DVDs on the market are more athletic without any hint of chanting etc. And don't forget...

    Hmmm, I might need to re-think Atkins

    I don't follow "Atkins" or any diet program for that matter, I don't "count" anything and I eat for hunger... but when I significantly reduced the starchy carbs in my diet and concentrated more on eating lean protein, fruits and veggies, that's when I finally started to lose weight and inches.
