    varicose veins

    >Hi, > >I have this too unfortunately. Genetics like you, and 2 >pregnancies really did one leg in. Ditto. There's a new procedure >called EVLS , endovenous laser surgery or something...you can >google it. I went in for a consultation and am having it done >next winter. They...

OT: Soundtrack for high school seniors' video

I've made 2 such videos now--one for a school my daughter attended (5th grade graduation), and one for a school that hired us to do it for their seniors. That was a neat one because they showed it to the kids for the first time in a movie theater. That Sarah McLaughlin song is good but only...

    Low Max 2

I'd also love a LowMax2. I'd prefer another step LowMax, not a floor routine. LowMax is one of my faves of the new series.

    Anybody gets migraines???

I actually get fewer migraines on the pill than I used to get when I wasn't on it. Like others have mentioned, I get significantly fewer when I regularly take a calcium/magnesium/zinc supplement. Imitrex works well for me but I have to take it like I would any other pain reliever--every 4-6...

    Morningstar/Boca Products

I love MorningStar Farms Grillers Prime burgers. They're higher in fat that some of the other veggie burgers but the flavor is terrific. Lisa

Back to school season is batty

    >Yes PTA!! Hey McKeev, My kids are in middle and high school now, but I remember the first year I was told I had to pay PTA dues. Plenty of us put up a stink. The solution is simple--your PTA can switch to a PTO and then, no fees. That's what we did. What nails us this time of year...

Music Louder Option - not yet decided!

I LOVE the music louder option! Once I have the choreography down, I always use the music louder option. I love the thumpin' bass, love that I can hear Cathe but can hear the music over the cues. I'd really miss it. Lisa

Gym Style on 1 DVD or 3 Seperate DVD

    >My vote would be to have all three on one DVD with at least a >total body pre-mix (or two) that would be in the hour range >and a couple pre-mixes that would form a 2 day split. That >would need no more than three pre-mixes, and make things so >that just about everyone could get something...

    cathe- premixes

I'd at least like a couple of premixes. I use the Imax "1st 5" and "last 5" premixes quite a lot. Sure I could use my remote and stop after 5, but I love how it goes to the stretch right for me. I also use the premixes in lifting for days when I'm time pressed and looking for a shorter version...

Legs & Glutes: What kind of results

Today I did L&G and attempted to follow it with my favorite little Cathe premix of my own--the warmup and 1st combo of Step Blast followed by the 1st combo of Rhythmic Step plus the step challenge. I've done the cardio first many times before L&G but never the reverse. Let's just say I...

    FIT TV wants your input

    1. I usually workout mornings at 8am. 2. I typically work out M-F. 3. I am a Dish Network customer, don't have it, and have called more than once to request it. 4. I'd prefer 30 minute programs, commercial free. 5. My last suggestion would be please, oh please, Dish Network, pick up the...

    Is anyone a paralegal?

    >Hi, Kim! I'm a paralegal, and this was a career change for >me as well. I was in a weird little subsection of real estate >practice (right of way land acquisition and relocation), had >my broker's license etc., when I finally just got sick and >tired of real estate. That's too weird...

I vote for minimal equipment. A bar and a couple of sets of dumbbells sounds great. Lisa

    Videos limit you???

Hi Angela, >I've been searching a long time for a program designed >specifically for hardgainers. I think I finally found one and >am starting it right away. Here is another: http://www.hardgainer.com/welcome.html His book, The Insider's Tell-All Handbook on Weight Training Technique...

Ladies, Muscle and how much is too much?

It's not about appearance for me at all anymore. However my muscles look, I say whatever. I've got 3 elderly grandparents (mid 80s) and as I watch them age (some have been physically active and some of them haven't) I've learned a few things. Mostly, I'd like to hit my mid 80s still being...

Helpful tips for Plantar Fascitis (long)

    >be stable. My arches are sky high but I over-pronate >severely! Ditto! Before I had orthotics made, I spent most of my PF time in Birkenstocks. The fairly stiff high arch in those felt SO GREAT. Since orthotics are a must for me I do fine in >stability soes but if I'd started out...

Helpful tips for Plantar Fascitis (long)

I had PF for a long time, partly because I ignored it, hoping it would go away. It didn't! Most of the advice given here are things I do also--wear orthotics, rarely go barefoot, cross train, but I wanted to add something about calf stretching. I'm pretty flexible and when I do the calf...

    New Video Clarification

I'd like: 1. A new total body, one hour lifting dvd--like Power Hour (my all time fave) 2. A high intensity cardio workout that's knee friendly and bears in mind that most of us don't have special knee friendly floors and are working out on carpet! I prefer step but hi/lo is fine too...
