    Breast Cancer

My mom who is in her early 70s was diagnosed with breast cancer on Friday. She has MANY health issues, now this. The dr told us to decide whether she will have a mastecomy or radiation therapy. I am concerned with the risks/side effects of both. Seems like it a choice between the lesser of the...

    LL Bean versus Lands End

I love both, but tend to buy more from LE. I've never had problems with any of my purchases and the clothing holds up well.

    Migraine headaches

I've been dealing with vertigo on and off for the past two years. Never had a bad headache or migraine with it, but have had pressure in my head and face. I recently went to an ENT because I thought it was sinus related. After an MRI was done and he could not find anything, he suggested it could...

    Let's talk Perfume

I use to love Anais Anais and Chloe many years ago. Will still wear Anais Anais on a rare ocassions. For the most part now I only wear Amazing Grace or Pure Grace by Philosophy because of the clean scent, just love them. The older I get the less I like anything overly flowery or spicy. Sharon

    Any Knitters Out There

Thanks everyone for the links to the knitting sites, I will definitely check them out. Cindi1 - You are correct, it is not a 1 for 1 pick up so it did seem odd. What your saying does make sense. I am going to continue with it and see what happens. I am excited to see the finished product. The...

    Perimenopause

I am 45 and have been going through perimenopause for a few years now. When my periods started going to 40-50 days apart and the PMS with mood swings started getting bad, I asked the gyn if I was starting to go through it. She had me take a blood test and told me, no not yet. Last year when the...

    My 1st mammogram...

I think it depends upon the technician that does the test also. My first mammo was horrible, ended up getting bruised. I am small chested and the tissue is dense, so the tech tried to grab as much as she could and pressed the plates as close together as she could to get a good picture. I've had...

NEW Runners check-in - all runners welcome

Hi Everyone- We were having bad thunderstorms last night, so I did not get to post. Yesterday was the upper body split of Muscle Endurance. My upper body is a little sore today, which is a good thing. Today I finished week 1 of the C25K. I was not sure about running/walking today because my...

NEW Runners check-in - all runners welcome

Today was my first week, second day of doing the C25K. It was hard, very slow running and slow walking. Between the heat and humidity, I just could not get my body to move faster. I think your right Christine, I need to just listen to my body with doing additional cardio. The last thing I...

    Does your cat drool? Ewwwwwwwwww!

Mine does sometimes. At first when he did it, I thought maybe he had been drinking water, then I realized he hadn't been. It is not excessive though.

    Should I be committed?

I am the same way. I work with someone who talks non-stop and sounds like Mini-Mouse. Very annoying. Sometimes I want to scream "SHUT-UP", or slap her upside the head. Sharon

    Partner split

I'm sorry to hear that. Years ago when my husband and I split, we decided he would get the house and I would move out. He got the house because there wasn't any way financially that I could afford it on my own, so I had no choice. It took me a couple of months to find a place and move. Those...

    Who was your childhood crush?

I had it bad for Shaun Cassidy, he was such a cutie. I had to watch Hardy Boys every week. Up until a few years ago I still had his album. Oh and the Bay City Rollers, Andy Gibb, Davie Jones, Leif Garrett. There were posters all over the walls in my bedroom. Sharon
