I vote for a new topic!!!!

This summer in Bible study we read Robert Foster's The Celebration of Discipline. One chapter was on submission. Foster defined submission as giving up the right to be right. As much as Russerious is bugging the heck out of me, I'll follow your lead and let it be. If he needs to have the...

    STS VERSUS P90X

Cathe's workouts are short? Since when? Drill Max is 72 minutes. Gym Style Legs is 64 minutes. If anything her workouts are longer than the ones for P90X. The Bootcamps are just the tip of the iceberg w/ Cathe's library. Please know what you're talking about before you try to prove your point...

    STS VERSUS P90X

To be honest, most of the people who got ripped and shredded from P90X were those who followed the nutrition plan the closest. I'm all over the BeachBody message board and there are plenty of people on their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds of the X who aren't "ripped and shredded" yet because their...

GRE (?) for Graduate Program & other ??? (sorry...little long)

RE: GRE (?) for Graduate Program & other ??? (sorry...l... You can google GRE and find out exactly how much it costs and where the test is offered in your area. I took the GRE in 2006 after being out of school for over 4 years. Those prep books were a godsend. If you're going to take the...

P90X progress sheets - Need Help

I noticed that too when I got my P90X materials. After doing the routine, I think it's because all of the leg exercises are 25 reps. Maybe they assume there's not much to keep track of if you're always doing the same number of reps. Just a guess.

    when do you workout?

I workout whenever I can find the motivation to get my butt in gear. I'm the procrastinator's procrastinator so I tend to put things off. Regardless, it still gets done.

Should I order STS if I have P90X and different focus/g...

If you've been working out with Cathe, then you're ready for P90X. I bought P90X with a feeling of excitement and dread. I kept hearing how intense the workouts were and how they make you suffer, and blah blah blah. People put the fear of God in me about Plyo and Legs & Back. The hardest...

Warning – Take a Good Look Before you Eat!!!

I found some tiny brown bugs in a bowl of my cereal. I didn't notice it til I was 3/4 of the way done with it. Totally grossed out. Threw that box out right away.

    STS VERSUS P90X

I swear if I hear one more time about how EXTREME P90X is I'm going to hurl. Yes, the workouts are challenging. But if you've already been doing plyo and heavy lifting, then it's nothing out of the ordinary. I was dreading Plyometrics the first time I did it. Twenty minutes into the workout...

I ran my first 5K today!!

Congrats!! The first one always feels so good. The other ladies are right. A 5K, turns into a 10K, which turns into a half marathon. From there you're just two steps away from an Iron Man triathalon.

    What is your Sat workout?

I did a 70 minute spin class and upper body weight lifting today (shoulders, bis, tris).

    Exercise and Appetite

I find that intense workouts initially curb my appetite and then cause it to go into overdrive. No matter how much protein and fiber I get, I just can't stay full. I try drinking more water and it doesn't help. Makes it very difficult to stay within my macronutrient ratios. I can have 5 egg...

    cleaning eating update and questions

Certain cheeses are considered clean. I know feta cheese and goat cheese are in a lot of clean eating omlette recipes. Low fat or non fat cheeses are recommended for cheddar, american, swiss, etc. HTH!!

    For lean definition...

I could be wrong, but I think that muscle definition has as much, if not more, to do with body fat percentage than muscle size. At a certain point what you eat affects muscle definition more so than how much you lift. Unfortunately me, it's a lot easier to up my weights than stay away brownies.

drill max - as I lay on the floor, looking at the ceiling :-)

Cathe is just plain evil for creating Drill Max. It's not the squat thrusts in Drill 6 that kill me it's those darn reach lunges afterward. My legs are so shot by that point I can barely keep my balance. My favorite part of Drill Max is the end.

    STS VERSUS P90X

    >I agree about the push-ups pull-ups and ab work as I said in >a previous post but the leg work and rest of the upper body >work is seriously lacking in P90x and if you want to develop >and train these areas sufficiently you need to supplement with >other workouts and Tony advises against...

    STS VERSUS P90X

I've done both Cathe and P90X. There are definitely areas where P90X is stronger, and then there are areas where Cathe is stronger. From day 1, I've felt that the Legs routine in P90X was lacking. Sure, there were new moves that I hadn't seen before, but I never really felt that they did much...
