Another Suggestion:Very high rep, lighter weight workout

I love to mix up my routine with Debber Siebers Slim in 6 or Jari Love's "Ripped" program because it offers a unique burn from all the very high reps and lower weights used. Cathe is my favorite instructor, so it would be wonderful if I could buy a DVD from her that offers this type of program...

    New Jari Love Workouts

If you go to Jari's website, she gives you a preview of her Get Ripped 1000, which says will be coming in November. It is supposed to burn at least 1000 calories a workout. It is endurance based muscle work interspersed with step and cardio drills. Looks fun and challenging. Again, I cannot...

    louder music option

I agree! When the music is pumping and louder it does motivate you to work that much harder!;) x(

I just did Ripped to the core for the first time...

I did Slim and Lean yesterday and my legs are feeling it today! I liked this program, but I feel that Ripped to the core offers more of a challenge for the upper body. The different exercises are broken up into chapters, so if you prefer, you can only do the exercises you want in whatever order...

I just did Ripped to the core for the first time...

I did this workout the other day and I really liked it. It was exhausting, but I used slightly heavier weight than Jari did. I liked this workout a lot better than her first Get Ripped. The compound exercises are what make you so tired I think. It really shocks the body if that is not the usual...

For those who preordered all 4-..which will u do first?

RE: For those who preordered all 4-..which will u do fi... That is too funny about that the UPS guy. I, too, am dreaming of the rotations I will use once the new DVD's come out. My husband doesn't understand why I am so excited about the new workouts either. Oh well, at least the people here...

For those who preordered all 4-..which will u do first?

which one do you plan on doing first? I am so pathetic I lay in bed at night and agonize over which one I will do first! I think it will be drill max. What about the rest of you?

ANOTHER CROSS TRAIN EXPRESS AND ANOTHER LOW MAX

I think maybe a low impact version of cross train express would be nice. Or, at least have 3 or 4 days of low impact in the rotation, but still high intensity. I, too, cannot use cross train xpress as is because it is too high impact, so a similar, low impact series would be nice.

    FUTURE SUGGESTIONS

I love the hardcore extreme suggestion! I would even like a super duper harcore extreme where the most difficult segments from several different series' (maybe intensity series, bodyblast series, and gym style series) are compliled together. As for the lunatic that wanted more leg presses---...

    Whoa... Low-Impact Circuit...

Actually this is not overkill at all if you are looking to increase muscle strength. Power lifters use this type of technique to improve their bench, deadlift, and squat.

    Gym Styles question

YES! Sometimes I come home from working out at the gym and need a nap, beause I have worked so hard. In fact, I read a lot of body building books and it is noted in them that a nap (if possible) really helps with muscle growth and repair. After all, you don't build muscle while u are working...

    Slim in 6???

I really like the Advanced Body Slimming series (one dvd is called tone it up, one is called shape it up). These are great muscle endurance workouts. They might get boring if you do it 3x a week for six weeks, but I just use them in my muscle endurance rotation. "Tear it up" is also another...

    Work out Disorder

There is a quote that might help, "there is no such thing as overtraining, just undereating or undersleeping.." If you do not feel tired or weak, then working out twice a day for one or two days a week is fine. Try cross training to prevent overuse injuries. Everyone is different, just listen to...

Heavy Weights Low Reps vs Light Weights High Reps?

Hi- just thought I would throw in my two cents worth. I think a lot has to do with genetics. I've seen women in my gym year after year trying to lift heavy and they look exactly the same. Some people are just genetically incapable of building large amounts of muscle (especially women). If you...

    Gym Style Series

Hello, the gym style workouts are fine for men to use as well. All you need to do is just use heavy enough weight so that you are really struggling those last couple of reps. Or,if you find that it might not be enough work, you can always "pre-exhaust" your major muscle groups before doing a...
