    Bloating, Gas, IBS

Amanda, Zoloft is def. available, not sure why your doc said that. Was he talking about Zelnorm? Because that's no longer available. Zoloft is typically prescribed for depression.

    Bloating, Gas, IBS

I'm not sure if the Align has helped, but he did recommend it as the one to take. I think for me it's the Zoloft first. It's helped move things along in my stomach- the gas, bloating, constipation. The Miralax has also been wonderful. My doctor really recommended that. The Align/probotics- I...

Need feedback please re: weight loss class

I also like to hear people's "secrets." like drinking decaf. tea at night to get when they get a sweet urge; setting up their exercise equip. before they leave the house for an afternoon workout;setting SMALL goals (it can be overwhelming to want to lose what you've lost- 5 pounds in ...

    Bloating, Gas, IBS

My doctor gave me a sample of the Amitizia to try if the Zoloft didn't work. He said that the Ambitizia can cause many people to have serious nausea. I haven't used it since what I'm doing is working. He also said that you can't overuse the Miralax. The Algin- he said that was his favorite...

    Bloating, Gas, IBS

I thought I would post my story in the hopes it might help someone else. I'm NOT saying what has worked for me will work for you. I'm hesitant about posting my personal business here, but if it helps someone then it's worth it. In 2006, I had 2-3 months of reoccuring yeast and bacterial...

    Imax 2 vs Imax 3

I like Imax 2 way more than Imax 3 for the fun factor and it's more knee friendly. Imax 3 just seems insane, like the goal was to put as much knee pounding moves into one workout as possible. If that's your thing, and for some it is, then Imax 3 is your workout. I never have the dread factor...

    Protein Powder??

Just a note on the BSN Lean Dessert protein powders- they are VERY good, BUT they gave me gas and bloating like you wouldn't believe. (even their Synta 6 brand did) Someone here (thanks again, btw!) reviewed the ingredients for me, and well, they have a lot of extra "stuff" in them. When I...

    Summer reading

I've fallen in love with Jefferson Bass. It's two guys, one being the creator of the Body Farm in Tennessee, who write fiction forensic science novels. They are very good if you like mystery, Kathy Reich-type novels.

Tired of the calorie counting game - HELP!

I've found that after using Fitday for 6 months, I know how many calories and the macros of most things I eat. I try to keep my carbs in the morning and eat a veggie with each meal and 1-2 fruits daily. I eat mostly the same foods, so I've learned how to combine them. Build up an arsenal of...

    Weight gain in the thirties

I'm a few months shy of 37, and my answer is yes you might gain weight when you're in your 30's. I was 103 forever. Now I'm 106. Yes, I know that's not a big deal, but when you've always weighed the same for 15 years it is! I've found that I have to work way harder to maintain, and I now have to...

Delusion, or right where I need to be?

I don't mean this in a rude way, but it seems from your posts that you are very obsessive about your workout plan. I just read the check-in for legs, disc 9 and even there you were asking Cathe if you should put in a circuit workout. You had so much "stuff" in your weekly schedule. My...

    Venting/neighbor problem

I applaud you, Tami, for taking measures to stop your dogs from barking. That's very cool. Maybe you can come to TX to talk to mine :) All pet owners should be as thoughtful as you are with building a fence, training.... I am so sorry to hear about your recent bad news. Sending good vibes...

    Venting/neighbor problem

As someone who is experiencing this problem right now, and for the last seven months, I can understand how frustrating it is to your neighbor. I can't imagine that anyone, except for the owner (you), would find that dogs barking all the time and at four a.m. would be "cute." But in no way do I...

    Flat Belly Diet

Autumn, I have the book but don't follow the plan. I tend to "collect" books like this one for the recipes and meal plans. Plus, reading them keeps me motivated. :) I like the suggestions the book gives for breakfast, lunch... It gave me some new ideas and has helped keep my meals "fresh."...

I need help making a 4 week rotation using the Terminator DVD

I have the dvd, but don't use it much (due to knee problems). I did a search on the rotation forum and came up with this link. It might be helpful. It lists the workout names, but you could easily just put in a generic name (circuit/leg-focus, total body, cardio....)...

Thanks, ladies. I'm going to do the stretch dvd from P90X tonight, order the Tamillee Webb one, and one or two others. That should do it. :)

    Stretch DVD

Lisa, thanks for your feedback on the Tamilee Webb dvd. I will put that one on my list to buy. I want to get 3-4 of them to rotate. I've never done any sort of stretching and now that I'm older (36) I can totally agree with you about starting this way sooner. I will also try out the...
