I need Yoga/ Pilates workouts. Please help.

check out yogadownloads.com where you can affordably download all different practices and put them on your ipod or burn a CD (they come with accompanying pix that you can print out if you don't know what the poses are). I know some of their 20 min workouts you can even get for free. For dvds...

    beating the body up

I'm now 47 and after doing intense cardio and weights for so long, I'm now changing the way I approach fitness, in general. I am incorporating much more functional fitness programs that combine cardio and weights in new and interesting ways. On days that I want cardio only, I'm doing workouts...

    Who's pre-ordering Tracey's new yoga DVD?

Another no here. Not to sound like a yoga snob, but there are so many dvds out there by instructors who have devoted their lives to the study and practice of yoga... and who have way more than basic certifications. Does Tracey even have any yoga certifications... even the minimal 200 hours...

Thanks, Elsie! I'm especially interested in their Yoga Bliss Hips one.... maybe I'll see if I can try it via a trade.

    kundalini yoga?

Coming from a ashtanga/vinyasa pov, I haven't had any real experience with kundalini. I'm intringued, though, with how popular the ravi/anna dvds are! Does anyone have any experience with them (other than warrior workout)? They're having a workshop in Ct next month, and I'm tempted to go just...

    I *heart* Tim Gunn!

I heart Tim, too! He just seems like such a sweet soul. And as far as the final three, I'm rooting for Leanne. I like Korto, too. Kenley, not so much.

how about a life is crap t-shirt reflecting the plunging of the dow???? I didn't see one of those. I did appreciate the cell phone in the toilet one (since that actually happened to my DH).

Sleep Number Bed or regular mattress???

My mom just ordered a Dux bed (she's undergoing chemo and wanted to treat herself to a primo bed). I laid on it in the showroom, and it felt amazing. It's supposed to be great for getting the ultimate sleep experience!

    Help on toilet training!!! Pllllllllease!!!

Could it be the "setting?" My youngest (now 10!) used to like to crawl under the dining room table to poo in her diaper. So that's where I put the potty. Sounds weird, I know, but when she wouldn't go on the potty in the bathroom, I figured WTH, I'll try putting it under the table, and she...

OK - It's just not happening...

One word: YOGA. I, too, felt so burned out my so many hard-core workouts. And it just felt like the more hard--core workouts I did, the hungrier I got. So, first I mixed it up a bit. Then I started to do more yoga... and more... and more, until it just clicked with me, and I can't do it...

Any moms who wish they had had more kids??

Not to take away from the no kids by choice thread... but I'm a mom of two, and sometimes, I really wish I had had a third child. I'm too old now, and, I admit, at times I get sort of a sad feeling inside that I never had a third. I think it's because I love my two so much... it's like wow, to...

Attack of the killer expanding waistline!

Well, I'm going to be 47 on Thursday (can't believe it), and I've noticed this as well. I think it comes down to changing hormones, changing metabolism... getting older. I've got a friend who has managed to maintain her thin waist, but she severely restricts her calories and eats insanely...

    Help!

we went thru this last year. I used listerine. I rinsed DD's hair in it, then put her hair in a shower cap and let it sit for a while. After washing it out, letting it dry, I used a nit comb. Then, finally, I used a curling iron and "ironed" sections of her hair. It must have worked...

    Cancer infestation!

omg, I can totally relate. First, let me say I'm sorry to hear about your sad news. My mom called me last nite to say she had met with her oncologist after a biopsy, and she'll be needing aggressive chemo. They also told her she will lose her hair in about three weeks, and that she'll be very...

    Stephenie Meyer's books..anyone reading?

My DD (14 yr old) can't put these down. She's almost done with the last one. These were on her HS's list of recommended summer reading books. I'm very tempted to read them myself, simply because I want to know why she likes them so much!
